Guys... For my knowledge... only 3 confirmed ... that reddit guy is definitely fake. Meaning that not he or his friend hadn't find anything. Obviously we can't be sure that other people that do not share their thoughts here, eventually did not find it, even before that these 3 guys (including myself) and just kept their mouth shout.

Can confirm that Meow was legit. I just wound up in his instance and he gifted me one outside the station for nothing which I docked and sold. Probably too late, but still an amazing gesture.
I have to agree... I was trying to apply Godel's Metric to figure out various systems near Ededleen that could be related, checking systems with stations named Kurt or Kurtz or Einstein (worked closely with Godel), systems / stations beginning with Santa or Saint since NVIDOA HQ is in Santa Clara, along with a variety of other things... would have been nice to see the answer be a solution to a riddle or involve some puzzle solving skill. (who knows maybe it did and 5 people just got lucky before it was solved)

Well, it's faster than waiting for a web tool to be developed that somehow has access to all the data from the Frontier servers.
Most conspiracies have logic behind them instead of being comprised of random actions picked from a pool of 10,000 bits of paper with random actions written on them by a procedural random action generator.
Bleh, I am not happy about this. I will go and fume quietly somewhere else. I wanted to at least be able to explain the solution once the location was revealed. I hope there is a solution that the winners just haven't picked up on.

another thing, I also have an egg from Zaonce, and I am at 215ly from Ededleen and 200ly from Zaonce, its going for ~49,000 so your theory of doubling wasnt far off
Even the hand coded missions in the ancient elite had way more thought that this, i.e. hunt for the Fer De Lance in the original required following a trail of clues. I too are disappointed at the effort FD put into this.
But i had a blast lets hope they do it again but with more thought going into it.

Of course, you stand a good chance of being one of the 5 who get happy. What a surprise.
Taking as a moot point that it was random: FD seem to have this habit of wanting to do nice things for the community and then somehow plucking defeat from the jaws of victory... could have been so much fun and a truly entertaining challenge, left people feeling bitter because it was left to chance.
