I am hunting large ring systems myself. Gas giants can have really large rings. My personal record is 7 000 000+km. Stars can have even larger, have seen one almost 36 000 000km. Unfortunately for some reason the largest ring systems seem to be completely invisible. I thought some time ago FDev said they will be fixing this in the next patch. But it didnt happen.
