Good luck, CMDR! If you're still out by the time Horizons releases, don't worry, I believe ships are automatically fitted with a planetary approach suite. You will however, have to return to the bubble to get an SRV.
 
That's why I'm going now. I'll be back in time for horizons. Wonder what an SRV will do to my jump range...... I'm thinking about a grand circuit of the galaxy once we can land on planets.

SRV's are really light. They'll barely dent your jump range.

You get the idea.

As I said, they are just random off the cuff names I pulled out of the hat, what!
