Any CMDRs gone full on pacifist?

As the title suggests, I'm just wondering how many of you have traded or explored into the millions but not fired a single shot, does your status screen say 0 bounties claimed?

That's me. With each new ship upgrade first thing that goes is the weapons. Trade Elite...not so dangerous. Yes. I am zero on bounties.

0 bounties here, as well.

No point in strapping weapons on my ASP, since I don't plan on hanging around near inhabited space.

I want think to myself that I'm a pacifist... Never hunted or murdered anyone in my career, but, if someone get me some noise, well, you have searched your death.... So, many many kills for bounties, maybe near 200.

Always trottled down for avoiding interdictions. ;)

I started pacifist, but once I got up to the Python, I couldn't hold back anymore.

Now I've got a little Eagle fitted out for some "Aggression Management" in between trade runs. I think I just topped 40 Bounties.

I have the 2 pulse lasers that came with my type 6 still, but I've never even deployed them. Any time I get interdicted I can usually boost away until I can jump again.

Not a single shot fired. Currently flying a 14.2 million Asp Explorer from the Jellyfish Nebula to the Monkey head Nebula.
Made 29 million in trading and 2.2 million in exploring so far. Combat doesn't interest me at all. I like to think that once we reach out and settle the galaxy we'll be beyond the pew pew die stage.

I was until I got my asp, then I stopped running from npc interdictions (I play in mobius) while my connection still makes it hard to dogfight the firepower of the asp is enough to overcome smaller npc pirates.

I hope I'm wrong but I think humans will never break free from the pew pew. If we do ever grow up though I think that is my greatest regret, that I will certainly not live long enough to see what the world (and possibly other worlds) would be like with no war and virtually no focus on material wealth.

According to the Original Elite novella "The Dark Wheel" there are hundreds of alien species flying about as well all with different ideas and motives.

Avoids fighting but has millions. Pacifist, yes. Lazy, only slightly but in end has more shinies.

Never fighting and only trading or exploring. Full pacifist... Misses out on learning combat, gets caught by an NPC or player, dies and goes home empty handed.

Never go full pacifist.

Sounds like me. No bounties, dont intend to go bounty hunting. All about trading and upgrading till I have the credits to buy something that can travel distances that are just plain ridiculous.

Thats a thought. What is the perfect layout, on any ship, to reach a maximum single jump distance?

:D Well played....

Nope, the only time I don't have weapons is when I'm full-on trading in a slightly-more-remote area of space, even then sometimes I wish I had a missile rack or two for the pirates..

I wonder how many players will remain a pacifist when the thargoids come in lasers-blazing. ;)
