Engineers Any Help with Improvised Components?

I need your help.

Improvised components.


My extensive search of the interweb has given me the following clues;

Found in High grade emissions USS's.
In HIGH tech systems.
In independant systems.
In a state of Civil unrest.
With the leading power in that state.
With the USS's in "deep space"

Well, that kinda narrows it down. To No system I can find.

Any further ideas?

Im now trying conflict zones in systems that tick off a few of the above.

According to INARA, there should be a high chance in the High Grade Emisions USS in Civil unrest systems.

So far INARA has been very accurate for me, so I'd try there.

looks like the good old omen of finally hitting the forums for help has worked again.

Anyone else noticed this phenomenon? When you finally post about your lack of success?

I post about lack of luck for 2 days and the very first high grade USS I drop into after posting drops 6x improvised components.

They only spawn in Empire and Fed systems with major faction in civil unrest, 500-600 ls away from main star High grade emissions.They dont spawn in indipendant systems who have a major faction with civil unrest. I tested it, also even in a fed/emp system they were preety rare,I stocked on core dynamic composites and imperial shielding thou

Improvised Components in High Grade USS don't only spauwn 500-600 ls away from Main Star...i just got today around 20 of them in a concentrated zone 6500-7500 ls away from main star...may be around 7 or 8 High Grade USS in a very short time ( in that case, lower your speed to minimum 30m/S and select/unselect main star to help USS appear more often), then no High Grade from 7500 to 11000 ls (in that case, with less spawn, just increase your speed few seconds to help spawning again)...then again a descent concentration of High Grade USS from 11000 ls to 13000 ls with some others Improvised Components but the majority was Core dynamic composite + Proprietary composites ( i was also in a Federal Civil Unrest system )....good luck all, The RNG Factor is sometimes very cool....sometimes very dissapointing and frustrating (yesturday nothing during 2 hours in the same zone of the same system....lol..jésus....hum no...RNGésus )

I followed the advice on this thread (Fed/Imp system in Civil Unrest and went 500LS from main star off the plane) and found 3 High Grade USS within 10 min for a total of 24 Improvised Components! The name of the system is FOTLA.

I've been looking for these on and off for the last few days checking out any civil unrest system with no luck.

I see your post, check Fotla location, see I am only 16ly away. Jump in, HGE spawns within 30 seconds containing 4 (12) improvised component.

Good drops today at Murato system > 5k LS from star, heading towards galactic centre.

No luck in independent systems but soon as I entered federal system in civil unrest 50% of the USS's were core dynamic material and the other 50% had the improvised components at about 1500Ls from star
