Yeah, it seems that every ACW or GGwABL candidate systems are now scanned. So we now have to scan our big list of poor or very poor candidate. This new one was on my "very poor" candidate list. And very close to HIP 22460, like the previous one... Quite strange too that the system isn't mentionned as thargoid civillisation (hand made by Frontier ?). Quite strange too that only two message can be obtained from it despite it is not a TS included in the Eagle eye survey.

As per my op, I've scanned what was left of my good candidates, weak candidates & all the ones we'd eyeball searched too (we didn't miss one! :cool:).
So I'm out of candidate systems at the moment & using LCU's EDMC plugin to check for new candidates. If you have another list to scan through then by all means post it here :).

Btw you say that every ACW or GG+ABL systems are scanned, I certainly wouldn't count on that, about a month ago I found 1 system from LCUs plugin that had not had 3 of its only rocky bodies scanned (for EDSM), strangely everything else there was! It was a prime candidate! I added it to the Good candidates list, & later probed it (no TS sadly). So although I would say the vast majority have been scanned in this area, some remain only partially scanned, & a few might contain RBs. Oh, I found that odd one after searching about 3 dozen systems! :p

Re Thargoid civilisations in the Gal map, last I heard only those within 100 LYs are flagged, & I'm not sure if it's even all of them within that distance.
It is weird re only 2 messages though......

I think that there may be systems in the Merope bubble that haven't been put into EDSM yet. Not many but there will be some

Also that site that was found recently was very much an outlier so there may well be other sites out there in marginal candidates.
HIP 22711 was on my list but was low priority because it wasn't an AW or GGABL

Looking at the survey I can see that we have visited 46% of all systems within 150ly of Merope

Yea I'm wondering if the baulk of any TSs left are in the marginal/weak candidate systems.

So to that effect I've been looking through these 47 results from spansh.co.uk to look for any new candidates. So far I've gone upto result 14, which was a suitable candidate, but no TS there.

Re-centered the search to Merope again, looking for ammonia atmos planets from 0-50 LYs from Merope to start with.

For anyone wanting to join in, I'll be adding searched candidate systems to the op searched list.

My god! This system must have dozens of candidate bodies to search through! :eek: Thank Fdev for surface probes! :cool:
Holy ****! Counted them now, 23 candidates!!!:eek::eek:, surely theirs got to be a TS here??.......[edit] Nope!

A few questions, what's column A & Q about?
Which would you rather I do, add a search system to the 'already probed list' (you've got a typo there btw ;)), or change check to Y in col C of the 'shell' list?

Oh also, you're missing 4 TSs from the TSS site list, the last 4 I think.

Column A just tells me if I have left a formula in place. TBH it can be removed now.
Column Q is bodies with ammonia

I'll update the TS list when I have some time.

You can either add the site to already probed or change the column to Y its up to you.

Now that the new exploration tools are in hand, since I didn't see that anyone else has jumped on it, I ran through all the candidate Outotz systems from this thread.

TL;DR - other than the one system where Gnosis ended up, absolutely no sign of Thargoid presence out there. Probably nothing to find out that way until FDev unlocks those sectors or otherwise changes the game.

For my search, I combed through this thread for all the Outotz systems that came up as candidates. In the process I also spot checked a lot of random systems in the area. Since the FSS makes it so much quicker to sweep systems for POIs, I didn't bother separating strong from weak candidate systems, nor likely from unlikely bodies. Just visited them all and resolved every body. Sooooo many Geology POIs on icy water geyser moons! End result, the only Thargoid signals that came up were the four we already know about on Outotz ST-I d9-6 2a. Just to be sure, I also landed on every body that turned up Biological POIs. Found nothing but crystal shards though. Great for filling up on rare elements, but not the kind of alien life we're looking for. It does kind of seem like crystal shards tend to like the same kind of bodies that are candidates for Thargoid structures though.

Anyhow, I always kind of suspected this might be the result, since it's been a month and nobody seems to have stumbled across Thargoid POIs out here yet. While I'm pretty sure I'm the first to do this particular systematic sweep (since I got first mapped on some nice high-value worlds and interesting biological POIs, which suggests I'm the first to thoroughly scan most of these systems with the new tools) the area is close enough to the bubble that someone would surely have noticed if there were a lot of previously unknown Thargoid things in Outotz. Moreover, Thargoid probes at Gnosis still pointed back to Merope. From a meta-game perspective, that suggests that FDev haven't (yet?) implemented a second Thargoid center of influence in the locked sectors. From an in-game theorycrafting standpoint, it makes you wonder if the Thargoids that attacked Gnosis were actually a force diverted from the Pleiades to prevent it from finding something, *not* the Thargoid home force emerging to keep the nosy scientists away from their homeworld as was widely speculated.

So for future reference, here's the list of systems I scanned.

I was out there as well the last few days and can confirm this. Also searched some systems with ammonian planets, but nothing.

The only interesting thing I found were two degraded emissions with a survey data cache.
