Anyone found deep space regions with signal sources?

Came across two signal sources during my last exploration trip while returning back to bubble. A SSS at Swoilz FW-V E2-5 (appx. 1k LY from Sol) and WSS at Swoilz ZW-W C4-17 (appx. 600 LY from Sol).

You can imagine the speed I shat my pants when that SSS was revealed to be a pirate ambush of approximately 4-6 ships and I was flying unshielded, weight-optimized Asp with pretty much the worst afterburner you could fit. Could only get a screenshot from a moment before entering the SSS since the only thing I did after assessing the situation was pretty much repeated tapping of the afterburner button.

That WSS had six canisters of toxic waste floating around. I didn't bring the home. During that trip I checked several salvageable wreckages for one large and one small survey data cache.

Just found one in PHROEA EAEC RS-K D8-6
It is pretty close to a neutron star though. I didn't want to stop and investigate it.

You guys have gotten a lot further than me. I just got back from Benards loop and had a salvageable wreck.

I just came back from my expedition.
The first SW i found on my way back was approximately 4500 Ly from the bubble.

I did not checked what it was, it was way too close from the star, too risky to overheat while leaving the SW.

Phew! Just managed to tear myself away from the Horizons beta long enough to reply to the thread :)

Found another in PHROEA EAEC KC-U E3-10 It is a small survey data cache marked illegal salvage.

Great work, will add those to the list.

Hey, finally our first deep (ish) space SSS data point!

Kudos for popping in to take a peek, and good to hear you made it out of there in one piece :)

Nice find though, other than the UA shell I haven't encountered any SSS that far out before. I wonder if it was just luck or there's more to be found in the area.

I just stumbled upon a salvageable wreckage signal a little over 8000 LY from SOL. It had single Small Survey Data Cache and what looked like the remains of a blown up Hauler around it.

System: FLYIEDGOU S-DB D26 (just out of the jump, in front of the main star)
Coords: -1000, -759, 7950
Game Version: 1.4

I found a few more, but forgot to write them down =( That isn't why I am posting again though. I found another one in WREDGAEI NL-Y D3. It was near the main star heading out system or maybe just orbiting the star.

Found another in Bubble Sector ZE-A E-16

Another at PLAA EURK DX-S B31-3 near star.

Nice job! I'll add those to the list.

They are the usual Salvageable Wreckages right?

Found another in: BLU THUA XR-R B18-3 about 500Ls out from the star as you head towards the closest planet.

It is Salvageable Wreckage.

Just found another in the same system but in a different area. Salvageable Wreckage also. It is a small Survey Data Cache.

Small Survey Data Cache found, NGC 2264 SECTOR CG-W B31-0 - 1,941 LY from SOL.
No cargo space, have left it there.

Another NGC 2264 SECTOR FJ-W C16-0
about 1,920 LY out.

[edit] make that two in the above system. Just did a large trip through Brown dwarf & T stars and didnt see anything.. then at 1,4888 LY out I came across another in COL 69 SECTOR CP-S A23-0 (a Brown Dwarf.)

HIP 83573 - Large Survey Data Cache next to Neutron Star. *Sigh* I really wish you could pick these up without it being illegal.

Something odd I just noticed when I was looking at the salvage. It is telling me that there is 2 unexplored places in the system and those are the close by stars that I had already explored. If you look in System Info, it shows tham as explored. Another bug I guess.

HIP 79343 Weak signal source near main star. I only saw it for a second before it zipped past me; sorry.

SMOJAI RQ-P C5-4 Salvageable wreckage. It is in close to the main star, as in I was fueling up.

Right on commanders! I shall add these to the sheet.

By the way, I swooped by SWOILZ FW-V E2-5 after 2.0 release arrived and didn't find any SSS after about 10 min or so of flying around. I did find a SW in a neighbouring system though. Could be that things have changed in 2.0, or I was just unlucky with the RNG. Ah well, maybe another SSS will turn up with a higher spawn rate in future.

I found another last night, but when I went to get a closer look at it, I hit it and must have destroyed it. =/
