Anyone found deep space regions with signal sources?

HD 152314 - Salvageable Wreckage next to main star. I was sitting and scanning when it whizzed past me. It looked like it was orbiting the main star.

If picking up salvageable wreckage and exploration data is illegal, will that mean that finding things on planetary surfaces will be illegal too??

Thanks for the new data points!

Most of the cargo I find planet-side is legal salvage, but I usually hold out out for Gold stashes (find one every other landfall or so) rather than the 1-2 units of random commodities you find dotted around. The Gold stash can bring in around 70K CR if you have enough spare cargo (typically the stash is around 7 canisters).

Still not that many credits I guess, but better than nothing and it's "Legal" :)

Here's a list of my latest stuff that I've encountered.

The following entry was for 1.4:

I found an SSS at HIP 75810 (423 LY from Sol). There were 2x Vulture and 1x Python labeled "Medical Transport". The transport told "Transport reporting in, cargo secure... I guess..." to local chat. None of the spacecraft were aggressive.

Rest of the entries are for 2.0:

I found an SSS at Synuefe LY-P D6-14 (756 LY from Sol). Previously unexplored, it now has some (not all) of its planets tagged by me. Off to SSS I went and it was some sort of pirate ambush: there were 7 ships, some of them were shooting each other. Likely a bounty hunter vs. pirate affair. 2x Fer-De-Lance, 2x Vulture, 2x Cobra MkIII and one ship I didn't identify. Two Cobras started to whine and attacked me. This time I had my multirole/long distance delivery kitted Asp that could've handled them, however with a considerable risk of taking some hull and module damage. I had a lot of exploration data that I didn't want to lose. Thus I decided to get the hell outta the place. I believe that this event was the same kind of situation as the pirate ambush I came across earlier.

At Synuefe MJ-F D12-6 (848 LY from Sol) and Synuefe YR-M B52-1 (809 LY from Sol) I found salvageable wreckages. Both had a wreckage with small survey data cache.

At HIP 17315 (724 LY from Sol) I found a salvageable wreckage. The system was previously partially tagged and I put some additional tags on it. It had a wreckage, black box and some useless cargo like scrap in it. Almost instantly an Anaconda named Rescue One jumped in, telling to local chat "Dispatch this is rescue team 44. Not much left on this one, no sign of any survivors." The Anaconda wasn't aggressive.

At HIP 27605 (255 LY from Sol, 70ish LY away from nearest inhabited system) I found a WSS. There was a lone mostly harmless Sidewinder with bounty (scanned) on it. I blasted him off the sky for a massive bounty of 3.532 cr. :D

Came across one last night
HEGEIA DW-C C26-4
Wrecked Cobra - Large data cache. Picked this one up as I now have a ship with cargo space :)
3,044 from Wangal - so about 3,100 from Sol.

Small Data Cache - Salvageble wreck - 1,160 Ly forem Sol
Wredguia DF-Z D4
Found orbiting small rich metal planet.

Came across some Salvageable Wreckage yesterday in the FLYOOE HYPUE sector. Unfortunately I didn't note the system name or investigate further and I am now on a single minded route home but this was the first sign of life I've seen on my return journey from Sag A and I do know it was around the 7500 ly from Sol line... Have seen absolutely nothing further than that and nothing since so I am thinking it is rare this far out.
