Steam just dropped another small update. It's working now though it's not asking me to click "log in" to enter my password, but it's working.
Using Steam / Horizons option I'm getting the usual launcher with a [LINK ACCOUNT] button it doesn't normally have then, when putting in the p/w it tells me to insert a code that doesn't show up in my email and it doesn't seem to want to run otherwise.

I realize I'm a little late to the party, but these seem like terrific updates! Great job, FDev!
I eliminated the Steam game loading (bought the game through Steam) and use the FD launcher directly, works much faster that way. Updates to the launcher have been easier.
Also had some issues with delivery of the e-mail authentication info, wasn't getting to me. Changed my original e-mail address in my FD account to a secondary address, this eliminated that problem.

I got the code in my email, but after entering it the launcher shows the blank 404 page. The update will not begin. I also tried reinstalling the launcher, checking for updates and verifying game files, but the problem persists. I have the non-Steam PC version of the game (i.e. downloaded from Frontier). Hope this issue is resolved soon.
Got one code in an email, eventually (which didn't work), even though I should have at least a dozen by now, one for each of the times I've tried to login.
Trying it again andtwenty 30 50 minutes later, still waiting for the email...

Steam launcher was working perfectly for me last night.
It worked just fine for me yesterday evening.
If you have issues, just start the launcher manually, don't go through steam. That worked for a friend.

Did that, haven't logged into Steam for several hours.

these devs are getting silly why in Gname is this not fixt
and why did this ocure it was working fine until a couple of days ago
like i say before i am scared for the update that is coming up it will prob brake the game completely
