I was going to log on here and say that I respected you for fighting us hard in Open last night.

Then I found out that at least one rather prominent Delainer was flying a false flag, and I read the threats to go griefing because you can't handle losing.

That respect is now gone.

False flag? What are you talking about?

Griefing. If that's me you are talking about, then it will be in response to some pretty merciless attempts at destroying our power. There will be no griefing, just plain pirating which, as far as I know, is still allowed. It will be just done in your back yards.

Put your feet in our shoes and think about what it feels like.

is this?

I love ppl coming with "cryptic" messages.. say something and say nothing.

Do you have something to say, say it.. clear.. i have no crystal ball to understand you are saying.

Do you need to put names, put names, i don t think Shame is an issue.. we are possibly all mature enough to get it.. and who is not.. well deserve the shame then..

And another thing... we are all so Hungry of PvP that I can promise you, if you tell us you are going to be somewhere at at least about some time... we will be totally happy to come over in OPEN and have some nice Fight.. is soo freaking difficult finding someone in Open I am all to set a sort of meeting and slap each other face...

We have no problem and that would be actually really fun to have...

So, let us know, thank you :)

I posted this to reddit, thought it would be useful here too.

Hi everyone, I'm fairly new around here. I was with ALD until 5 days ago. Seems thats exploded and I will be here "full time"
I presume many of the players here have no idea about Overhead costs and what happened to ALD.
The short story is green systems are BAD.

The "Profit" you see in game is meaningless. Preping systems because they have a high "Profit" is a waste of time.
I know what everyone thats read this far is thinking, heres another troll, I got the same response at ALD 2 cycles ago.

Knowing that green systems are bad is very useful, it means you can pick any system. No more competing for the green stuff.
If you stop chasing CC (which leads to Turmoil) we can select high profit smuggling systems, or any rare good systems in the area.

I'm happy to explain how it works in detail if anyone wants to know, but the important thing is "profit" is a lie.

I've just been reading your thread on reddit - it makes sense, I understand and I'm with you!

I may be lowly smuggler but I watch this thread and reddit to make sure the contraband and marked slaves go where they need to.
I hope more of us read what you've written and make smarter choices to ensure our survival o7

I'm also confused as to what you mean about false flags and threats about griefing, perhaps you could clarify a little..?

As for not being able to handle losing are you talking about a specific fight or in general?
As we only have a limited number of players my impression is that we are usually remarkably chilled and philosophical about losing :)

Indeed we are. Actually, we are quite a nice bunch when not transporting slaves for execution.

I cannot imagine players for any power taking kindly to their own power being set on like ours. We do feel embattled.

Even IF the cytoscrambler had been better (and perhaps been a fit for all the FDLs out there), would it have kept people from moving on to the next uber module and collect that too? Balance is a holy grail in gaming, and no matter what you do some people will always complain. I see alot of complaining about the other powerspecific modules as well.

Maybe there's some people which not hunt the stuff, but which expected to get something as a consolation gift ? Actually I don't want to go in another Power, I just want the battle to be fair ! And when Aisling shield comes up, the only thing supposed to cancel its strength was the Cytoscrambler... What a joke...
Aisling shield can be 20% than a class 7A shield ! It's like a free shield booster ! How can we counter it with a class 1 inacurate and unpowerful pseudo-"burst" laster.

Practically every weapon in the game in its class is a sidegrade. Trying to put things into a conventional, solid progression like you find in RPGs doesn't apply in Elite. Faction gear is standard gear with little quirks that can be advantageous in limited circumstances.

Looks like they have implemented some sort of fudge on ALDs numbers so they aren't in turmoil anymore.
If its using a new system, no one else is using it yet.

This will give them something else to do other than attack us.
Their main "orders" are still to attack everything of ours.

He's referring to a certain high ranking member of a player faction within your faction masquerading as a member of ALD, something which personally I found very amusing, and I reckon was inspired by ALD's accusations of 'false flagging' on this thread, yesterday. Also, and please forgive me for sounding a little contradictory here, Straylight0, but 'false flagging' is a very common tactic in pirate and sea-faring narratives: last episode of Black Sails, season 1 springs to mind, but there are plenty of examples.
Anyway, like Straylight0, I had also come here with the intention of thanking GluttonyFang, Majinvash, and several other members of Archon Delaine for making it an exciting evening, and also to offer my apologies for having to leave just after GluttonyFang arrived, because we (Aisling's 13th) are mostly from UK and Europe - it was 3am. Must say, as I jumped out, the Delaine guys in system were a fearful sight!
Regarding challenges and 'when and where's' as someone mentions above, I can't speak for all of the 13th, but I'd be glad to pass on a message. I recently discussed this sort of thing with Cmdr Black Fox of Winters' and his opinion was that it goes against 'immersion' to have organised brawls or pitched battles, however, my biggest concern is making the 'open' world a more fun place, so I'll be glad to pass on a message and see if the guys/girls want to head to a certain system at a certain time, etc etc, etc.

I think organized brawls and pitched battles happen in history all the time. It sounds like a grand idea.

The main impediment to our survival right now is expanding to any system this cycle.
Obviously a "good" system would be best, but with most of the Empire trying to undermine everything we have, we need to take anything we can.

Asvienses and Kachirigin have the trigger ratios the most in our favor.
I have no idea if the systems are any good, but we need something and these will make our enemies need 3 times and 4 times our kills to beat us.

This is what we need to use to overcome their larger player numbers.

Those in Pegasi 34 last night, thank you for the short PvP session. It's a shame that everyone left when I arrived with my FDL, but any PvP is greatly appreciated in my books.

Also, updating for phase six now.

Patronage

large station 155ls from star

sells imperial slaves for under 16000

Its income is crap, but as I said in the other post, income doesn't mean anything to us.
There are very few Patronage systems that have large stations near us.

Patronage means we have lower expansion and fortification targets, and the imperial slaves should make an ok profit to any of the systems next to it to help out the fortifiers.

Should have tobacco and narcotics once taken as control system
Suya is next door, hi tech, should be able to smuggle in tobacco or narcotics and return with pre gen cells, or land enrichment systems for good money.
