Greetings,
Ever since I heard that we in ED have only discovered less than 1% of all 400 billion star systems (from what I hear), I’ve wondered how we know witch ones we have discovered and witch ones we have not. Of course now I know it will say in the system map whether a body has been discovered by a CMDR or not, and who discovered it.
But how do we know if a system that hasn’t been ‘discovered’ on say Xbox, has been ‘discovered’ on say, PC? Do they share the same ‘discovered’ database? Or are they just completely separate? But if that’s the case, then ‘discovering’ something on (say) Xbox won’t be as much of an accomplishment if it has already been ‘discovered’ on (say) PC, by another CMDR. So why not have them be ‘linked’?
