If it is not a weapon.. how and when are we going to get the aiming info before we can launch it?
The data link scanner has its own reticle, so why not the DSS?

Exactly. Not only will the on tonne DSS module, that already has a defined function, be able to control probes at supercruise distances. It will be able to control multiple probes, which an equivalent limpet controller would need to take a slot at least 32 tonnes.If the DSS can now magically control probes, why the hell do we have eleventy limpet controllers given they do basically the same thing?
