ARX via Steam

How's that possible? I'm in game (Steam) and when I click buy arx and payment section only allows to pay by cards and pay pal
I fiddled with the ARX purchase options and when selecting to buy ARX i was taken out of the game to a website that was logged in (not secure though) with my ARX listed.
An option to pay by credit card or Steam Wallet was listed. No idea if it works though, as im not going to be buying ARX.

Frontier can keep their Arx. I have no interest in this janky mechanism.

hey guys i had this issue too
log into the store page,
click on the "my account" on the upper right,
select product access key,
then in the list on the left side of the page you will see third from the bottom "partner keys", when you click on that it should give you an option to "login with steam" and thats it, the only issue is you will likely find it easier to launch the arx purchase page from the game menu as the arx page is not in the game extras tab yet (as of 9-22-19)
also, you will need to end your current session(return to the main menu) for you purchase to appear it seems if you are currently in game
however all you have to do is link the steam account to frontier and the wallet option will show up.

Does this work 18/10/19? I have accounts linked to steam but no option to use Steam Wallet.
Feel a little bit red handed here for trying...
EDIT: Answered my own question:
1. Link account though the frontierstore.net
2. Go to arx.elitedangerous.com, when offered to log in, do so via steam not your frontier account
3. Option is shown.
Okay that worked. Bonus trivia, i have one steam account with credit but multiple frontier accounts, unlinking from the last one set and linking again seems to work instantly. But of a hassle but at least you can use steam credit.
