As a boardflipper

You should speak for yourself, cause what you just said wasnt the reason i board hopped.

When i want to do trading i dont look at other mission, when i want to do combat i dont look at the rest.

I can't sling a dead cat these days without hitting someone who is asking me to transport something to somewhere. And with wing missions, there should be plenty of haulage to haul around. I don't understand the problem.

Hows about Fdev make a few systems dotted around with minor factions in those systems that cant expand out and that offer every job type available for those who want it. Any missions taken from these factions will have zero affect on BGS.

This way the folks who want a certain style get, a certain style.

So do you never re-log either? Say, when gathering Guardian Blueprints, or doing the Ram Tah Guardian Ruins mission? Or for any other purpose?

I'm willing to bet some people (not you necessarily) who posted in this thread that they don't board flip and never have, either use re-logging or have used it in the past for other things that aren't the mission board. It's really no different, two sides of the same coin, and would be "cheating".

(note: I'm part of the "2.8%")

Yeah, I don't (well, didn't) board-flip, I've never been to Dav's hope and relogged like crazy to get mats, I've never been to a guardian ruin, grinding for blueprints, don't care about guardians nor Thargoids and many other things. I don't find these things fun so I don't do them. That easy. That's why I'm finding this approach "It's not fun so I'm gonna use an exploit" so annoying.

But why do that? Why don't folks just go find the missions that they're looking for?

I've done it. Doesn't matter that it's gone. It always felt totally exploity.

It would be nice if you could do that without having to park at every location. Now when we have tools to trade and find USS and scan planets remotely to speed things up, I'd like to see some way of getting the current missions available, at least in the system you're in. So if there are 10 stations, you can see a total list of missions, but have to go there to actually pick up the mission. Now you can plan and work it.

Who would think that internet with job listing wouldn't exist 1,000 years from now, while there's no problem to send holograms through the galaxy. Amazing. One million step forward and two million step back.

I agree.
I'm sick of this credits per hour garbage.
The reason I see this thread existing is because certain folks cant completely fill a cargo hold with missions. Take whats availbe and fill your hold with commodities. Wala. Trading.

Agreed. That's how I do it.

A remote mission board? I have no problem with that.

because most players would flock there to get their missions, except maybe the BGS aficionados.

Why is 'credits per hour garbage' ??

I assume you're happy to just take what available and trot along. What if I say, that's a garbage way of playing. But see, I don't. I don't care how you play. If you want to run single missions one after the other, that's perfectly fine with me.

Don't assume, your way is the only way or indeed, the right way. It simply is not.

It is garbage, or are you telling me I aint entitled to my own opinion ?

But you already can. Most(?) pilots are already familiar with the basic formula for finding specific G5 mats from HGEs:
System type(s) + State(s) = Mats. For example, want CDCs... Federation + None = CDCs and/or PropComps

Hey ho! The BGS generates missions using some basic parameters too! While not an exact science...
Economy + State creates mission opportunities. For example: Extraction + Boom generates high paying haulage
Looking for combat, surface scan, etc. Missions? Filter your GalMap for systems in War, Civil War, Civil Unrest
Looking for passenger missions to Colonia? Tourism systems in boom
Looking for fetch and return you can source from your Agricultural base? Look for Systems in famine

These patterns aren't rocket science, they're mostly pretty logical. Now I'm not going to pretend I've got every nuance figured out, but that's because I've managed to figure out, locate, test, and bookmark enough systems to allow me to make decent credits which include ~ a dozen systems bookmarked around my main shipyard base (mostly extraction systems, couple refinery/industrial, one high tech). The bonus by doing this... I keep learning a bit more about BGS mission patterns, but honestly, I still gravitate to extraction/boom for those <180t 6-11mcr haulage runs.

As for wanting to see all the mission boards for 10 stations in a system... how would that work? Don't you need to instigate the station instance before that can happen? How much extra stress could that put on the mission system? What about other players scattered about the different stations? I'm not convinced what you're asking for would be easy. In the meantime, open up your GalMap, check the economy & state, you'll get an idea. What might be easier to implement, and provide an even better idea of the opportunities would be if we could see at a glance the state of different factions at each station across a system.

Let me rephrase;

I respect you have an opinion, and for sure, you're entitled to it. But you didn't state is as opinion did you?

'I'm sick of ' = not happy, feeling ill, feeling poorly, have a pain in your bottom

'this credits per hour garbage' - referencing a factual thing, place or occurrence.

No opinion postulated there.

Wow grammar judge is in.
Lets attack grammar.

Attitude. Feeling. Opinion.

If its just a playstyle like some are saying, then hows about cutting the mission payout by 85% at these places also ?

Why cut it at all?

Why not let players decide what they want to do, where they want to do it, and how they want to do it. Most players of Elite are 18+, an age I would hope at which they have modicum of intelligence to be able to decide for themselves. They don't (in my opinion) need you making those decisions for them.

I don't like it. And I don't like you telling me that I can't tell you what to do.
