Asset transfer.

I'm pretty sure they are currently described as one time only. Who knows what may happen if FDev actually agree to facilitate a swap to PC for console commanders.

Indeed... no one wants to start from scratch.
It's actually easier & MAINLY quicker to start from scratch & get to a 'reasonable' position.......I bought & started a 2nd PC account years ago, though I'v only bought Odyssey for my main 12k+ hours account.
Got to a decent position quite quickly with the second account.

2nd time round you know ALL the basics & should know how to quickly earn money in the game, which is much easier/quicker than when I started 7 years ago.

Even doing Engineering is slightly quicker - though I'v only ever done Engineering for what I want in my Ships.....& it's not EVERYTHING!

Only problem I see though is how many console players actually can be bothered with Frontier any more, after basically being ditched by them, as far as future development on consoles is concerned.

Relevant username?

No but if I'd lost the chance to move my Cmdr into Odyssey, as console players have and was looking to rediscover the love somehow, with a fresh save on PC, that's what I'd do. (I started out with less than anyone, working class hero kind of vibe)

You can buy a small spaceship for a few thousand credit. That means one credit is worth a lot of £s. I'd like to exchange 50 billion credits into pounds please.

I can see if you've already got to the point of having a fully upgraded fleet carrier that you would want the ability to buy that back though.

At the very least it might mean that people are more interested in trying out Odyssey stuff because it's one thing they don't have to worry about to get back to where they were. Consequently, the more that is transferred, the more interest you might get with people wanting to get going with Odyssey.

However, it seems from the responses that this isn't something that FDev have complete control over (beyond credit transfer), so we have to be prepared that it may not happen.

We are parking our fleet carriers up at HIP 58832 for the time being. This is an occupation of a single key system, as an in game “protest”. Hopefully this helps increase the chance we are heard and we have these full transfers available in a timely fashion.
