Attack Hacks??

look at some of the vids on Youtube that folk have done, time lapsed planets etc. Either done from an Outpost or from a Planet you can see that the Planets do indeed move.

So you're saying they ARE really moving? The planets & satellites? So when I re-enter a solar system, the planets may have moved, and the moons have moved?

Hell yes. I'm in and out of LHS 3447 and that 110,000 Ls journey from star to star gives me plenty of time to see the different positions.

If you just park in space, even, you can watch them move. It's not fluid, it updates every few seconds (on my connection at least) but they're working on that.

Or if you want to see first hand go visit Mitterand Hollow yourself and see something spectacular.

Unless many many people really do wish to discuss further, it's an open / shut case. But I really don't see how a mass-debate would change peoples minds (unless people get off on these types of gank) ;)

Wow. Yeah it's an open and shut case that the OP escaped a "moral grey area" attack from another player by CHEATING and doing something that is explicitly against the game's terms of service. You're right. Attacker is *maybe* an A-hole depending on how you want to interpret it; OP is *objectively* a cheater and a terrible sport.

edit: And yes, how deliciously "ironic" that the very person who cheated at the game, was also the one who gained the upper hand! Irony!

We're talking about the video that was on the first page, not your hypothetical. Those missiles could have easily been dodged - thrust upwards the moment the missile warning came up and stay safe behind the inside of the mailslot.

I made that video. I deliberately set out to get ganked in order to highlight just how weak station defence/offence had become - and the message has gotten through.

Even if I had decided to try to dodge the torpedoes, I doubt my Cutter - which had more or less become committed to going through the letterbox by then - would have been able to slow down and jink out of the way in time.

One does not simply jink, in a Cutter ;)

Anyway - I had no intention of avoiding the attack in the first place B)

Not just any station, Jameson Memorial. It's not a "public" place, it's permit locked and invite only, by the organization which decides what systems people have access to. If any place should be EVE safesec level security, it's there.

Exactly! It's classic irony.

Irony: a state of affairs or an event that seems contrary to what one expects, and is often amusing as a result.

I hold my hands up to being amused by the result ;)
