Auto Assign Faction in Combat Zones

Would it be possible to have the faction you're supporting automatically assigned to you based on it being the opposite of the first ship you open fire on in the combat Zone.

Nearly everyone I know either had to be told they should pick a faction before opening fire or "fought for free" and then found out afterwards.

So in theory, you can ambush the other side by doing this. As you are not part of the fight before you have chosen a side, and you are only joining the fight after you have attacked.

I do not think this is to hard to learn. And yes, we all make mistakes in the beginning, that is part of learning new stuff. And the same goes for trying to land without asking for permission before trying to land, etc, etc.


I have not checked out the tutorial part of the game, to see if they cover this by now, but they have kept on adding new scenarios to cover more and more parts of the game, there. So if it is not there, then this is where new players should be able to learn about this by themselves...
Even for old timers in Elite, try out the tutorials...
