Avatar Creation

With avatar creation lurking sometime in the future, as I buzz around from place to place, I look at the mission agents as an example of some of the faces I might be able to create some day. My second thought is (my first is they all look somewhat ill) I've yet to see any that resemble what I imagine my pilot might look like

Has anyone seen my avatar out there? Have you seen anyone that looks like you, or what you hope to look like?

Not getting any sunlight - staring a a screen all day - no fresh air. They look familiar to me - like looking in a mirror.

But to seriously address your question: I'm going for tall and rangy, thick hair fashionably flowing almost to the shoulders, quietly good-looking with a determined jaw, slight cleft to the chin and grey eyes fixed on some distantly unimaginable horizon.


Can't see any point in doing anything different than RL.

Head first, but I normally don't use the airlock. Usually my canopy gets blown out, and then I follow.

This is such a waste of effort on par with CQC when I'd much rather there not be so many outstanding bugs and issues with the game that currently exists.

Is anyone even asking for avatar support? I see a lot of people asking to fix powerplay, fix missions, fix system security spawns, stop making the pirate archetype pirate stupid items that aren't worth anything, make mining not boring/useless, fix the navigation plotter bugs, and a number of other issues that are already in the game. I dont see many people asking to have the ability to create their character's face that nobody will ever see but them. Will it even show up on direct comms with other cmdr's ? probably not.

They've said on one of the live streams that the CMDR creator will be better than the NPC generator.

I'm really looking forward to this feature. It reminds me of the character creation revamp in Eve, which was incredibly impressive at the time, and still is very sophisticated. I hope it creates incentives to travel around planets and give more depth to exploring the Elite universe. No doubt changes to flight suits/ uniforms will allow all sorts of customisable options for players.
