Perhaps the Concorde did not make a profit, but she certainly made history.

The age of aviation faded away as profits became the driving factor over engineering and design.
Now every passenger plane looks the same, people hate flying, and nobody wants a career as an Air Steward/Stewardess.

It all went away when Concorde stopped flying. If a new supersonic transport is in the horizon, it is 40 years overdue.

"Bringing more people, places and viruses in our lives" 😛

I dunno, I think recent events have shown how hollow the need to "go to other places" is. And I think for the model to be profitable it needs to be hypersonic scramjet suborbital aircraft. Which some companies are already working on, so I think these guys are aiming too low.

Reality is - nobody really wants supersonic airliners. Too expensive, too dirty, and your route options are nearly non-existent due to noise regulations that prohibit to fly supersonic over like 95% of populated territory. By the end of it's life Concorde was flying half full on most of it's flights. Because including time spent going through security, getting to and from airports you were traveling maybe 30% faster than on normal jets, but for five times the price. I'll look like a massive donkey if supersonic passenger aviation becomes a thing again, but I'll go on a limb and say that it won't happen. Because it's not speed that shrunk the world, figuratively. It's availability of intercontinental transport.

Oh look the Americans are making a small Concord, 40 years after they failed to copy the real one.

If each seat, has a window, that makes 54 seats. Concord had 100.

9/11 and the French, killed Concord. Since then, the rich have got richer and so I guess it could cover its running costs.

Concorde was a magnificent and inimitable bird.

I do not find here the purity and the grace of the lines of the Concorde. :)

This new "Concorde" will follow the same fate as the Airbus A380 at Air France.
