After being away from Elite Dangerous for 4 years, I am back in my old Python with all the new goodies!
This almost makes me a new player, since a lot has changed.
I have read the forum and digested the September bugs. However after about 18 hours of exploring and mining, I have only observed one bug. The "persistent" modules when changing ships or adding/removing modules. This appears to be graphical only in nature.
I like the new tutorial additions and the mining is now very entertaining and fun. The visual effects are super and work well on my "average" PC.
The HCS Voice Packs are amazingly well done and add complete multi crew ability to the handling of your ships. With Spock, Data, Kirk, Astra etc. You add a huge dimension to the game, something I never dreamed of in the 1980's
So from a returner's point of view I would like to say thanks to FD for keeping the Elite game alive. The magic is still there for me, but I spent many hours in the 1980's with those wire frame graphics on my C64!
Right on Commander! But only those of a "certain" age will remember those words spread across your black and white monitor!
Cheers.
