background noise

I'm hearing like excessive background noises in game ... like the sounds of the station, buzzing and squeaking and things falling ... just seems kind of excessive since the patch, like it's too loud. Anyone else noticing this?

Yes, this is extremely frustrating. I don't want to hear random beeps like this all the time. Please at least make a setting to disable this!

This was present in the Beta. Someone thought it might be triggered by a visit to Outfitting and cleared by logout/login, but I don’t know if it was verified. Usually Elite’s sound design is excellent, but there can be too much of a good thing.

Unfortunately going back to main menu and continuing didn't help at all. Still hearing all this annoying crap. I can't believe someone thought it's a good idea to add so annoying random noises... horrible!

I think it may be related to using Remote Engineering - when you go into those screens it plays those engineering shop noises. But then they don't stop.

Yes, yes, I too am very annoyed by these constant noises, did not hear them until this last update yesterday when fleet carriers went live, didn't hear them before. Very annoying. Please turn these off or give us an option to turn them off. I have to turn the sound effects volume down real low now.
