Base turrets: Ammo?...

Hi commanders. I was wondering, what kind of ammo have the base turrets got?, because I have got a gunship that I always use to scan the data nodes of those planetary bases for bounty hunting, and I'd like to know what do you think: hull or shield? I have tried both with this ship, and I prefer shield (prismatics). so I am engineering the shield and I don't know if to do it to thermal, kinetic, explosive, or reinforced, because I don't know what ammo those turrets shoot. I only know that they are OP as fk XD

There's couple different anti ship turrets. Some could be plasma, know there are missiles.

Higher total Shields might help, couple shield boosters as well.

I generally use srv, though. And rarely do those.

Hey, thanks! I usually do those missions just to get mats. Always are biotech conductors and exquisite focus crystals. I sometimes use the srv too, when the security of the base allows it.
