Be honest everyone. Who will most likely purchase the Python MkII..?

The bog-standard PJ is black enough..
It's not really tbh. I personally think it's ugly, when looked at from up close. I've had a look on Wednesday, because I loved the attention to small details in ship design.

Obviously it's subjective, but to me it looks stained, like... dunno, you treat metal with flame or heat I guess. Didn't really like the looks of it.

I'm seriously considering the pre-built, it may be fun..

I'm wondering if they are 'sold' (for 0 cr) and replaced if you shift the 'new' module to storage.
Or perhaps we will have to 'sell' the ship then 'buy' a new unsullied one?
It might work like the ship armors, and the p2 modules can be stored but only installed on a p2?

Stupid question:

In the shipyard list screen, ships are presented in ascending credit value order. Sideys and Haulers to the left. Corvettes and Cutters to the right. After a while you get used to that order and know roughly where to scroll to find a particular ship.

Where would a pre-built ship with no inherent credit value be listed? Having a ship way out of its normal price range and away from others of the same exact hull is a thing that would bother me.

People say my streams are quite informative. You should pop over some time, I try to be as thorough as possible :)

I will, as a new player i really don't have too much time to play, i have only 170 hours in 2 years of gameplay, that's not much. Also i really don't want to be the best super cmdr in the galaxy, its a game.

I would like to support the devs, but they need to add more features to the game, SC has taken terrain for a long time, Frontier needs to wake up and change.I dont understand either all the problem with P2W and bla bla, it's a buissness ,they need to make money as everybody.
Elite is a full game ,and the other is in an eternal alpha state. Elite has great wasted potential.
Would you say that Odyssey has lacked in content? And there's still PP2, reworked engineering and the new mystery feature coming this year.

Would it have been better with say a 50.- DLC containing 4 new ships, prefab ship packs, PP2, reworked engineering, and say base building?

I have watched your streams a few times and liked them, sometimes I'm handicapped by not understanding Polish.

Still this is the beta you are playing, IMO better to wait until we have it in game to see how it actually works. Seems a bit daft if I couldn't store a module temporarily but sure that might be the actual case. Not the first time Frontier has made a strange decision.. :D

The prebuilt ships won't be in that list, only on the gamestore.

It would have been better value than paying for the prebuilts/early ship unlocks which would total to more than that. Locking a multiplayer feature behind an expansion wouldn't work and base building is a fantasy. Even then just a 50€ ship pack with all 4 ships + prebuilts/shipkits would be vastly cheaper than what they'll be selling in the ARX storeb - but less people would buy it because it's 50€ in real money and not 80000 arx.

Indeed, it would,
Do you not recall the comment from FD when they gave everyone without a copy of Horizons that expansion for free?
Allegedly only 25% of the players had bought it - in a multiplayer game, where the content provided a gaggle of new ships and planetary landings.

Apparently a multiplayer game still depends on its players to buy expansions - else why isn't everyone playing Odyssey?

I mean something that's explicitly a multiplayer feature/game that depends on players to be content for other peoples in the game. The less people play powerplay the less it's worth playing is the implication here - and if it would be gated behind a real money transaction then less people would certainly play it.

I won't even consider PP 2.0 as any kind of gameplay for me - I have no good idea how others may feel about it.

But, in truth, I suspect PP 2.0 might only attract the numbers of dedicated players PP has now (maybe slightly less, it depends on how it is finally configured), time will tell, I'm sure.

I just saw the shield stats for the P2 on Hawke's youtube channel, and I'm pretty interested in picking it up still. He was running biweaves, (not the engineering setup I would run on it, though) but still managed 1,800-ish MJ of shields. Prismatics on this thing are probably going to break 3k if setup properly.

Sounds likely...
I don't remember if Ricardo built with Bi-Weaves or Prismatics, or both... I admit to not paying too much attention as I was chewing over the PP / Distro being C6.
Power would be the biggest bugbear, I think, but it will be fun finding out.

ETA: (Yes, I'm gonna blow my current ARX on the pre-built if it comes out Tuesday - and still have nearly a SRV skin left over...)

My enthusiasm for buying anything from the Arx store right now has for some reason diminished hugely.

Perhaps some enthusiastic favourable reviews of the ship in the real world would help.

Power will be rather easily managed, and you can use a Type 10 in EDSY to start figuring out builds since it can fit all of the guns, powerplant, and distro that the P2 will have. You will probably have to run an Overcharged plant, but that isn't really news. The distro setup will either be a low draw and low management setup like MCs or Frags, or a high draw high management burst damage setup from PAs/Rails etc. I think this ship will probably forego beam lasers for most people, especially since Incendiary MCs do most of the thermal damage at a fraction of the cost.
