Horizons Beluga heatproblem

Oke I bought a beluga liner.
Every core slot highest class maxed out.
Even did even some engineering.

Now I have 2 problems :
Heat at boost and jumping and fuel scoop I only manage get class 3 which is a drama
at scooping ( it takes ages )

How do you guys (and girls ) manage this ?

For heat issues during boost (and jumps from planets and such) get a grade 1 efficient modded power plant. For heat issues near stars, make sure you're not running anywhere near 100% power draw while traveling. It'll never run as cool as a Diamondback or Anaconda, but it is manageable with a bit of tweaking.
For the scoop, you'll simply have to sacrifice a module of your choice to free up a size 6 slot. :)

I use the Big B for deep space exploration. Since I carry a fighter hanger for fun skimming over planet surfaces and scouting, I have a 4A scoop. I doesn't take that long to top off since I seldom run the big tank completely down. For heat management, just make sure you throttle all the way down when the scoop reaches near maximum fill rate and heat is around 66%. Flying the Beast is an art. BTW I have a modded 34 LY range which suits my exploration specs. My dear old AspX just got a little too cramped, and the Conda bridge canopy is just too restrictive for beholding the firmament. Salute.

Well, without knowing all the stats, and how you use the ship, it's not possible to give a definite answer.

If you're just using the class 3 scoop to skim a bit as you fly to extend your range a bit, rather than as your primary method of fuelling, then it shouldn't be a problem - but if you are using a fuel scoop as your primary method of fuelling..... well, you have a class 7 FSD, so you need a fuel scoop in that ballpark - otherwise you're either making multiple passes, or hanging round in the corona of a star for far too long, and heating issues are.....foreseeable!

Secondly, you said you'd done some engineering, but didn't describe what - if overcharged power plant is one you did, the main penalty is to thermal efficiency, so you could expect to run into heat issues much sooner than you otherwise would. If you have power to spare, a Low Emissions power plant mod will help.

Those are the key areas I'd look at - good luck!

I say, if you can't engage the FSD while scooping, you need to use a cooler mod. If you're running that tight on heat then it'll make a longer exploration trip painfully long as you'd have to fly clear of the star on every jump.
It is definitely possible. I've taken the Beluga to Beagle Point and back without damage. Though, like I said, I made sure I could do safe high-jumps from a white-dwarf body-exclusion zone before I stopped doing G1 rolls on my power plant. :D
