Yes, I've seen requests for benches as "decorations", even though benches in a more realistic point of view are provided as comfort and rest stops for people, but after what I've experienced with the Toilet Management system from update 1.12, it has opened myself up for other possibilities for more management systems.
Particularly, the benches.
When the Toilet Managment system was added from 1.12, it wasn't a very unfair change for anyone's saves, including mine. The restrooms are fairly small, so they won't take up a whole lot of space, and even with no restrooms in my parks, they weren't disastrous by result after the change. It's just like the Spinosaurid Wetland Need mechanic from Update 1.8, where if you didn't have enough water in an exhibit housing any spinosaurs, they would get uncomfortable, and all you needed to do was just a more water in with them and that's it. This idea of mine would do the same, where it would introduce a brand new management system, yet it won't be "demolishing" your parks too much at all.
Benches, as I've seen on other threads and comment sections, but not as how I’m going to explain it, can be used for a "Resting Management" system. They would be small, like very small, where you can easily place them anywhere.
I don't really know how visitors would function with them, such as walking over and sitting on them or just spawning on top of them like they do with some of the buildings in-game. If it would be the latter, I'm not sure if they would like get up and start running away in terror when nearby a dinosaur is on the loose.
Design wise, I think they should come with trash cans, so that they won't be so separated and the fact there is plenty of those already in-game on wide paths and some of the buildings.
(For the JW era, the benches would probably look like what they already do on some of the buildings, as well as the trashcans next to them that you see on both the paths and buildings.)
(Perhaps, to make them more fair, they could be placed on both paths and natural terrain, as oppose to just on the earth like everything else.)
Now, because benches in this idea would be under the Guest Facilities tab, and that they would only serve to keep visitors happy from a management point of view, perhaps they could also be more than that. Maybe they could provide dinosaur visibility as well, albeit at a smaller scale compared to the enclosure buildings, and because of that, maybe there could be a way for you to go into a special viewing mode where you can get a sitting visitor's eye-view.
