Best Oculus Rift + HOTAS Controls setup

Anyone using a Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog Joystick? Just wondering what your setup is.

Hello!

I use the slew nipple on the throttle for Yaw. Everything is mapped to HOTAS without even needing the throttle's switch panel.
The Warthog is particularly good for bolting to your chair. I used some aluminium angle and a couple of bolts - it's easily removable.

You mean setup as in physical setup (like cmdr awesome posted) or setup as in bindings? If it's the latter, I posted mine on page 1 (spoiler tagged).

Still waiting for my X55 set. Can't wait to try it out in ED ( as soon as they fix the bug for vr that gamma 1.01 brought in ) ..

I have an X-55 and no regrets, but I still get turned on by the sight of a Warthog. Especially the ability to mount the stick without a big square surface. (And the all metal thing. Gotta love that.)

I've only got one hat switch on mine (Thrustmaster T.Flight). I'd like to use it for galaxy map translation, but I also want to be able to go up and down on menus. Any tips?

Any chance you could share the preset for that combo? I just got the Fighterstick and Throttle but struggling to get ED to take my setup.

I am using the analogue mouse controller on the throttle for yaw, it's precise and works very well, no pedals needed.

Here is mine, I spent a lot of time and effort on this one and considered using one of the profiles created with shift modifiers but ultimately decided not to go there. I have the bindings file backed up if anyone wants it.


This has changed slightly though because the current X55 drivers for windows 10 don't work with the slider, I have changed the SCBs to button I on the throttle and reverse modifier to button H (hold) on the throttle, Chaff to bottom spin G push and silent running to Button B on the stick. I quite like this and may not go back after they (finally) update the drivers.
