Want to say thanks to the FD team for all the hard work,massive amount of fixes, updates and additions from premium beta and long day they've had today lunching the beta,

I've just had another go - in my experience (and, while it isn't incredibly extensive, I have quenched my ED thirst with these missions for the past three-or-so weeks) they attempt to dodge out of the way at the last second. I've even attempted to ram them myself and they bounce away before I can kamikaze their snub-nosed bottoms (or faces... I should have just written 'asses' and avoided this whole sub-clause).

Did you do something nasty to inadvertently pee your AI opponents off that badly?

Its nigh impossible to say without being in the sysadmins chair, this could be several possible things (DB thrashed, HD's maxed out, CPU's getting rammed, memory saturated, <optimal LAN config on the cluster, WAN breakout at capacity) or a combination of the lot.

Needless to say, the server guy is going to be giving it the unix-fu all night getting his babies to settle down :p

Well, I waited for this since the olden days of playing Elite on a Commodore, I was 13, now I'm 43......I can wait a few days. No problem.:D

Just got online and I'm impressed! Was just about to dock and got dumped by the server, still never mind it all looks great!:D

Anybody know how the comms will work?
