There is a wipe with this update, and then another wipe on Saturday with the Gamma patch.

So gamma credits and ships earned will stay with us into final version?

...just answered by Michael. K. Thanks
Is there a possible known timeline when we would get the final answer to this question ?

To all the guys at FD - what an update list! Great work and great game.

I just upgraded and am about to hit the PLAY button!

So there are NO new ships? What the heck? the rest looks awesome but c'mon... You can't tease us with screenshots STATING that there would be new ships and then just not have them in the change logs...

Will enjoy testing the cargo dropping aspect - curious as to how you've set it up in case we want to pirate our friends ;-)

Mr. Brookes, just a suggestion.
Could the changelog be linked inside the launcher, like in many other games?
Just a cosmetical but comfortable feature, even for future updates.
Newer Players will find it with one click, instead of searching around in the Forums.

Back to topic: Awesome changes! Thanks alot!

I think a future version of the launcher should have something along these lines.
Anyway - my game has downloaded so I'll have a quick play and then head home.

Hey Michael, I really love all the work you and Frontier are doing, keep it up!

A little off topic and I know this isn't really the right place for this but I don't suppose Frontier offer work experience? I have emailed in but your HR department said that they didn't offer it to under 18s, I was just wondering if there could ever be an exception? My school run their own health and safety policies so I don't suppose that should be a problem?

I've got one week at EA, but I would be absolutely over the moon if I could get just a day at Frontier.

EDIT: Oh and just to clarify I'm not asking this because I just want a little behind the scenes look at my favourite game, game development is genuinely my passion. I've written a few myself and am having fun at the moment playing around with Python.

I really appreciate that your busy with all this great work but if you could please let me know if this is in anyway a possibility it would be very much appreciated.

Ah well, worth a try right? :)

Keep me honest here, you folks out there who are much better 3d modellers than I am, but I think what's happening here is that unbaked they include actual generated geometry, so more tris for the GPU to render but baked they are reduced to normal maps and displacement maps on the lower-res geometry so do not include any extra tris.

Yep I believe that the case.
