Wow, that's a lot of changes. Kind of curious about this one.

- Replace some potentially offensive station names

Was this one of them?

I can't see any mention of the Python or Orca ships in patch notes. I was under the impression they would be in Beta 3.9 update from Newsletter #50, or am I missing something?

Michael, thanks for all the hard work, I'm blown away by all the new stuff and tweaks.

one question:- I didn't read it in that list but are we going to get a way to mark/tag mined asteroids so we don't get confused which we've already mined. You know, when you get to my age and your memory will be bad too ;)

Those additions are frankly, underwhelming, and less than I had expected.

Didn't you say we'd get wings with this update? And background sim? Guess who's wrong.

Background sim from the 50th launch letter sound like it going to start on Saturday with rumours about a emperor being ill being the trigger.

Saturday will probably be another huge lists of bugs being squash and features being added as well.

Bounces around the room...which is not good at my age. For goodness sake, I'm in my 50s....haven't felt like this since I was a kid. God knows what I'm gonna be like on Saturday when I can start for real.

Oh, I would REALLY like to know if there's gonna be another wipe between pre-release (gamma) and release on the 16th Dec BTW (hope not)....me and the rest of the world LOL.

Amazing amount of changes :p

Now it sounds selfish but having read through I'm not sure if there is something about the issues people were getting with stutter in SC near planets, when being interdicted or coming out of FS?

Anyone see anything?

- Greatly reduced the execution time for the texture generations in all planet types

Really looking forward to this update with all the fixes and polish for what we have. I still don't see the build as available though. Is it coming tonight?

Thanks FD for keeping up the hard work.
