Parks Blast Point Resort

wow so much awesome!

it's all incredible, of course, here's a few things that really jumped out for me:
* the overall mood
* the tormented woods sign
* all the custom paths/queues/borders
* the break run building
* the graveyard

thanks for sharing!!!

Well, you praised my work on the Shyguysworld forum. Allow me to return the favor. The first thing i did after watching the video and the screens, was checking your workshop to see if you maybe uploaded it yet because i really want to feel the vibe in game as well. I knew the chance was very little, but i had a minor spark of hope it would be there. So i am gonna go with the video and screens, which is fine because they are awesome.

The station of Nightshade is not only one of the most atmospheric i have seen in Planet Coaster, it's also the way you placed it that adds to the awesomeness of it. It's just perfect on that hill with the surroundings. Correct me if i am wrong, but i have the feeling when i see this that you really give thought to the placement and use of every item, path, fance, wall and foliage. Everything works so well together. I probably missed a lot of details, but i really like the skulls in the tree, the onride photo, the fountains at the gears of fear ride and the way you placed the planks in the building where the coaster flies through. I am also very impressed witth the smoothness and pacing of the coasters. Anyways i could write a book about the awesomeness of this, but I have to stop myself now. I think you get the point that i love the tormented woods.

And you should give me a workshop realism someday [up].

That park looks so extremely realistic! I so much like that hotel and entrance, etc. and the themeing of the wingrider is just like a real imageneer shows you the blueprint of the newest park section of a real amusement park. Amazing and fantastic! And so very much inspiring! Keep on that fantastic work! A lot of greets, corkscrewloop.

Thanks to everyone for your amazing comments. I really appreciate it. Replies below.
Amazing! Looks like a real park!
Thanks. I always try to design something I could believe and would want to visit.

Honestly I do not like it. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS! [heart]

This is so great. I really love the beauty of your creation. It looks amazing. You have put so much effort in the details. The Coasterstation is spot on. The little town and the surroundings fit the theme so perfect. And the Wingcoaster... Nemmie that Wingcoaster is WOW [yesnod]

Great work on everything. No words... Times like this I feel sorry that English is not my native tongue because I can not describe in words what I would like to say. Best thing would be that you think of a lot of amazing and picturesque words and pretend that I said those [haha].
Thanks. That a very nice compliment.

Thanks James. The graveyard was especially fun to build.

Thanks so much. High praise from your awesome self. Yes you're right about the placement of everything. I probably overthink it, but everything is placed with consideration. I'm always thinking of sight-lines or why would a park place it there and if it would make sense financially, as in not theming things the guests won't see etc. And as being able to download and visit the park, watch this space.

some really great looking stuff here
Thanks very much.

STUNNING!!!!!!!!!
Thanks buddy.

Thanks kindly. I'll be starting on the next park section when I get time next week. [up]

Give yourself to Nightshade. Don't lose your head.

Nice and creepy whether by day or night :D. Quite an enjoyable ride with some great scenery. I still say you should lease that queue house out for the "Bates Motel" show---it looks better than they one they're currently use :)

Thanks so much everyone. I'm glad you all liked it.

And @Bullethead, I've never seen the new Bates Motel show. You definitely saw my inspiration. Nightshade's station is based on one of my darkride facades from one of my old RCT3 parks that I really want to bring back in Planet Coaster. And that façade was inspired by the original Bates Motel from Psycho and Phantom Manor at Disneyland Paris with a bit of Duel at Alton Towers thrown in.

I'll be starting the new park section sometime this week. Apart from when I've been taking screen shots or film clips for the Tormented Woods updates, I haven't played Planet Coaster for over a month. I'm really getting that creative itch.

I'm now getting on with Phase 2 and expanding the park. Hurray!

Thanks for coming and watch this space.

AMAZING work Nemmie! Really great all the details and how you made the buildings and the hotel is really amazing! Waiting for the next phase!

Just took a really good look at this park in game....wow! It's gorgeous! So simple, but with amazing detail and the way you used the lighted signs is truly inspired. The entire ambiance is simply mesmerizing and I love so many of the little details that add so much but are fundamentally simple in terms of number of objects used. You've set the bar high, my friend. Really a stunning park. Now finish the darn thing already!

Great park, beautifull details. Nice fake restaurant :p. I really like the lighting on the main street buildings as well.

Just hurry up with the next phase already [big grin], can;t wait :).

Thanks Tom. In a couple of days, the hotel will be 1 year old. God, how time flies. But back to now, Phase 2 is underway. [big grin]

Thanks, Nemmie. This will keep my occupied for some time stealing ideas ;)

yep :)[yesnod][yesnod]
Ha Ha! You're welcome. Steal as many ideas as you like. I'm shamelessly borrowing ideas off you two. [wink]

Thank you so much. As for the number of pieces used, I always like to cram and layer detail, but I'm looking at this as a whole park, rather than one area or ride. So because of that, I'm always conscious of trying to be as efficient with pieces as possible to get the look, but keep down the numbers of pieces used, for performance. I'm sure my PC will grind to a halt eventually with this park though.

Thanks. I really enjoyed doing the lighting. I wanted Blast Street to be as bright and vibrant at night as it is during the day. As for The Point Restaurant that's in the rock, I'm probably going to go back to it at a later date and show more of it.
I've actually got some time this week so hopefully, I'll get some progress done on the new area. There is a hint elsewhere on the forums of what's being built [wink][big grin]

If you look at my my skeleton, I'm mostly Neanderthal. My brains followed suit so my last original idea was the Levallois technique of flintknapping about 1/4 million years ago. But "monkey see, monkey do". I know good ideas when I see them, so at my best I'm a Mousterian Neanderthal, imperfectly adopting the new-fangled technologies of the modern humans invading my space :)
