Happy New Year to Tom and Sam! Glad to see you making friends on your journey; have a joyful 3303 and come back safely.
Perhaps it might be worth arranging for help from the Fuel Rats for the last leg of the journey: they travel everywhere (they have refuelled someone at Beagle Point before).

Actually it was 6700k lys and I've been out since NOV 22nd 3031.
I never thought it would be so hard moving so quickly and wanting to avoid mistakes.
But it was worth it to meet Tom the Keelback!
I wish I could help with the BP things Tom will be needing. Alas I have a goal of docking on May 22nd.

Day 20. 2. January 3303
Today Tom did travel to GREEROE WT-I D9-569...
on his way he found two waterworlds...
afterwards he did land on an ice moon...
Sam looked for some resources on the moon and found Germanium as well as Polonium...
Tom and Sam are optimistic that they reach Beagle Point within the next two weeks.

If you want Tom and Sam to visit a special place or meet you -if you are out there- make a suggestion! Tom and Sam are currently at GREEROE WT-I D9-569. They will soon continue their journey towards Beagle Point.
Tom is going to need help to reach Beagle Point for -about- the last 40 jumps. He is going to attempt each jump with minimal fuel in his tank so he can jump further but this means he would need to refuel every jump and this isnt possible at every star. It would be nice if someone could help him during the last part of his journey to Beagle Point. Although he could make it without help he does not want to risk to lose anymore hull integrity by attempting planetary landings he does not need to do. His Hull is currently at 14%
Tom is also still carrying the Wanderlust Legacy of the Distant World Expedition (https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=237963) he is going to carry it all the way to Beagle Point unless another Explorer wants to carry it on his journey and is willing to meet Tom to get the Legacy.

On the way to HATCHOI DS-Y B29-O 2 Tom lost 6% hull while landing on a moon later he lost another 2% while picking up Sam.
Tom did continue to travel towards Beagle Point but unfortunately his landing approach to 15.2872° -109.4058° on HATCHOI DS-Y B29-O 2 was too fast and with only 6% hull integrity he crashed and died.
He only had aprox. 22.000ly left to go to Beagle Point.

This is very sad news but, like Bob, Tom lived a good life, always curious and full of adventurous spirit o7 Sam will also be missed, having had little chance to explore and find his way around new and diverse worlds. They have achieved much in their short lives and seen some of the marvels that the Milky Way has to offer. And they made some friends.

That makes me really sad, I had the hope for a third meeting out there in the dark. I will never forget you... R.I.P. Tom and Sam
Were you running without shields? I don't understand how you got hull damage from loading the srv.
As the current steward of the "Achievement" legacy, please accept my commiserations on your loss, I shall find and bookmark Tom's final resting place and visit it as I travel back from Beagle Point myself. I hope that there are others inspired by your journeying both past and future. May you always fly dangerous and leave interesting trails in the void between stars.

And at this point, the reading voice in my head went all David Attenborough and I have been left feeling a little disturbed... as though I'd walked in on something I really should not have seen.
