Old duck. The boost was was requested and added to the docking computer by SJA, a lot of cmdrs requested this function.

I'm assuming those pilots would not object (after the fact, as everyone objects to everything in this forum when it's a suggestion) to a switch being added next to the "Hyperspace Braking" switch that allows boosting to be turned off for docking computers.

Thankfully the new drag missiles kill boosting, so I think I'll just sit outside popular stations (to which I'm aligned) target DC users with these. It'll be worth the fine

A toggle would be perfect

Looks like my previous post lost some text. You can inhibit the boost function by lowering the landing gear. That's what I tend to do if the automation is on. Any ship (including the Beluga) Will happily fit through the slot with the gear lowered. The DC maintains a sensible speed without boosting.
