Boost Overdrive

Now that we have the SCO, can we get a Boost Overdrive? It would be either a new module or new engines that allows for continuous boosting at the cost of distributor drain. Basically, you could host boost as long as your distributor could keep up. It would generate more heat of course. Just an idea!

There's no need. Install as many extra fuel tanks as you want, use decent power plant with a good thermal profile (A-rated with thermal spread) and don't use full throttle when applying overdrive. Add some heatsinks and you could cover vast distances before running out of fuel.

I just did a quick test with a python 2 and could easily travel more than 150Kly before temperature reached 80%.

He means normspace boost.

There was an idea floated here some time ago, a guardian thruster that allows you to keep boosting as long as you're holding the boost button.
