Brain trees - How To Guide

Is there any interest in reports of these anymore? I haven't actively been looking for them, but decided to land in a splash crater on a plausible candidate-moon some time ago, and found one rather quickly and obviously luckily. Though, I guess this fine guide by Baton was the real reason, because I must have read it and it was somewhere in the foggy brain banks. Although, 'brain trees'? I would more say raspberry-trees. Hi - fyi I just went to Synuefe PJ-D b46-10, body 3, coordinates 63.4538 // 93.4521 and there were only rocks. :-( Tried flipping the numbers, but the first coord only goes up to 90. What did I miss? Thanks!

Well necro'd :D

This thread is no longer valid since December 2018, when the new exploration was introduced. I believe that previously generated data was erased, rendering Baton's (and others') discoveries moot :( (That was actually very uncool move by FDEV unfortunately, as I know well how much time and effort these guys put into finding biological life when there were no tools to do it)

You can check the locations of first discovered objects like that in the Codex now. Any other ones you have to find yourself using Detailed Surface Scanner.

Closing this as a necro.
