Brain trees - How To Guide

I do not see any changes in 3.0 in regards to finding brain trees. Majority of locations have not changed apart from very few that were outside of ejecta craters, some of them have moved/disappeared.
In general things look much nicer now:

but sometimes trees are very difficult to spot :)

Updated list of nebulae I did check for Brain Trees with no luck:

I am repeating the experiment but spending a bit more time in the nebulae I. Lots of undiscovered systems, but so far no luck, but I'll drop in the list of the ones I have visited over the last two months when I get back in-game.

Great. We definetely need more pilots to search for this things. I could only do so much. I did check only couple of systems in each nebula, so it is very possible that I missed the brain trees there. In most of the existing Guardians bubbles I came across a body inside the nebula with no brain trees on it, so it is not 100% guaranteed that each body will have them if close to ruins.

That's what we did during the Perseus Survey. The only one having found is the Cmdr Mist0 and he found it in a 100 Lys radius around a Guardians ruins site.

Out of curiosity, how many people searched there, and for roughly how long?
Also, isn't that distance a typo? Looks to me that his site is fairly close to the known ruins at the Eorl Auwsy nebula.

We left early January and we currently finish in the Perseus Stem. We were twenty and for some, expedition still underway.
Indeed, he discovered the Brain Trees in the SHROGAAE sector, not very far of Eorl Auwsy sector.

All informations about the Perseus Survey here : LINK

Yeah, I meant that although it's a neighbouring sector, there's a nearby nebula with known Guardian sites, within what looks like 100 ly, not 1000 ly.
All of the participants searched for brain trees then? In the same area? If so, that's curious: you'd expect them to find more if they searched in a known tree-bearing region.

Eorl Auwsy is full of Brain Trees, I looked there primarily for ruins, but marked 80 sites with trees in probably 40 systems or so (typically I was trying to find just one site per system, and then move on, but some were to beautiful to skip :) ). Shrogaae is right next to it, I did not spend too much time there, but it is fairly close so no dubt there will be some trees there as well.

Currently my backup pilot sits there waiting for better light conditions :

yep, I think it is a typo, unless there are ruins in Shrogaae I am not aware of :)

The list of nebula I've checked (about 50 systems in and around each)

Coalsack
IC4604
Cat's Paw
NGC6357
Clookuia
Blaa Hypai (known site, no additions)
Floawns
Greae Phoea
Eeshops
Mynoaw
Eord Prau
Eorl Auwsy (known site, no additions)
Shrogaae
Eor Auscs (current location)

Next on the hit-list are:
Dryi Aoc
Greae Phio
Eeshorks
Boepp
and then on to Colonia to buy a new srv since I had to leave the last one impaled on a brain tree....

Well done, I would say if you check about 50 systems, then we can be quite sure about things :)

With the srv, same happened to me yesterday (https://i.imgur.com/Ci8SpKN.png), what you can do is to quit the game, then log in without Horizons, it will put your ship on the orbit with your srv in the bay.

Can't do that with the xbox. I relogged a few times in various modes and pgs, then took down the fluffy dice an donned the Remloc...

Bummer. Typically if you write to support, they will chop the tree down, but it may take couple of days :)

Just confirmed the top temperature range for brain trees, already checked few worlds with temp 500K with no luck, but today I found them on Col 135 Sector DL-N b7-0 1 -18.8905 133.7876 - temperature 499K , that would be the hottest on my records (previous one had 496K).

Unrelated photo from yesterday :)

Nice pic Cmdr Baton.

Just completed a survey of 60+ systems in and around the TEPUAE AA-A H503 nebula, mostly A, F and G class stars. At least 10 systems had prime candidates for trees.
No life to report unfortunately.
