For those that haven't checked that out yet, it's the "Speed Bowl" chapionships and involves riding the 8.7g gravitational field down from 500km to try and get as fast as you can without dying. It's really REALLY interesting. It's not simply a question of plummeting straight down in the fastest ship you can find and turning around before you hit the surface ... it's WAY more interesting than that ... it's fascinating, seriously challenging and a classic Buckyball-like learning experience.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Race banner and Signature
I've tested the route and I'll have a thread up hopefully on Tuesday.
EDIT: I've just noticed that I've used Friday's date instead of Saturday's - I'll fix and upload again in a few minutes - DONE!
Just wanted to say, this is a great-looking banner.
And I second Rankaze's opinion, that's another fine looking banner to add to the raceography.
Its only downside, the more I see it the more it makes me thirsty.
(pub crawls are nothing but a fuzzy memory of a distant past for me, but I hardly say no to a good pint. A single one!

I asked in the race thread, but might as well repeat here - would anyone like a one-week extension to the Galaxy's End race? It'll still be over a week before Alec's race.
I'd be okay with that, it's a pretty articulated race and could require some time for proper preparations (speaking for others in this regard, I'll probably go with my usual guesstimate approach...I miss your Raikograms here!

Same here. I thought I would get a race in this morning, but instead spent time bookmarking and figuring out what exactly I needed to do for bonuses as each station. It's fun! But complex. I feel if I started doing shots I would have no chance finishing competently.
While most people over at the Holo-Screen Advert thread are ripping their hairs off over copyright woes, I took an innocent stab at something more conventional and lore-friendly, BRC reference included:
Still something off with the main message (I was thinking that maybe a shorter "Fly safe." would make a better catchphrase, but leaves a lot of unbalanced void in the layout), but what about if I send something like that to FD? No BRC logo, no pain.
EDIT - slightly different version, smaller and re-centered slogan, bi-coloured text in the same hues of the Remlok logo:

A quick update on scheduling:
Falling With Style starts this coming Saturday, 19th May - hopefully you have all already seen that Alec has already posted the thread with details.
We will have a race in June. If anybody else would like to host here please let me know, at the moment it looks like I might be doing something for that slot myself (I have an idea or two).
In July we will welcome Cmdr Inodoro Pereyra's first race, scheduled for 14-22 July.
Beyond that I'm still looking for race hosts, though we may well have a summer break. I will be asking for the next batch of hosts in about a month's time, so please do be thinking about ideas.
