BUG: megaship/space settlement & cargo not ejected

That depends from which side you look. For me there was not much in added module storage etc.. And I could already fuel stolen tritium :ROFLMAO:

The sad thing is that hardly anyone will vote for this issue because who in their right mind would waste what few precious votes they have on an issue that has just been fixed after being broken for so long anyway?

At this stage, it's not even poor quality any more - it's bad comedy.
 
I swear ED is like some Schrodinger Cat - its both simultaneously fixed and broken all at once, as well as being a cat.
I like to think of bug fixing here as like that game where you have 5 lights in a row that you can change the colour of between 2 options and the aim is to get all the lights the same colour, but every light you change also changes the colour of the 2 that are adjacent.

Except in EDs case the lights that also change are random and may even change back the light you just changed.
 
In 2023, Hatch Breaker on Megaship Cargo Bay is still not working.
After using it, the Canister is not available.
I tried on the Lowell-Class Science Vessel in the Delphi system with a Thargoid Probe and a Thargoid Sensor.
The bug frequency is about 50%.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not work.

As a workaround, I can collect Thargoid Probes in Non-Human Signal Sources and Thargoid Sensors on Shipwrecks but it is sad to see that the Hatch Breaker is still not working correctly whereas the bug exists since at least 2019 and is considered as fixed in 2020 by looking at the OP message.
Maybe it is time to really fix this annoying bug.

Lots of cargo came out of the cargo bay. I fail to see what is not working.

You will need to hatch break multiple times. There is no guarantee the probe or sensor will be ejected on the first limpet.

This one. Limpets only break out so much cargo, depending on its size/class, and it takes multiple breaks if you want specific items or everything, usually.
 
IIRC things still get stuck - but not all of them. So they did fix the 2019 bug (which meant you got nothing - ever), but it's still not perfect (hey, this is ED ;) )

edit: Especially clear when I was collecting Escape Pods to bait Scythes a few weeks back (before they nerfed the Scythes to ignore Escape Pods). After a while you end up with a bunch of collectors staring longingly at the Escape Pods that won't leave the hatches (since Collectors no longer suicide as much).

Yeah - like they used to so before at some points - you can see them in the nav panel, but they don't exit the hatch. And yes, I do use multiple limpets ;)

Indeed, in the video, at 00:56, we can see that lots of cargo came out of the cargo bay:

These Canisters in the left panel are all in my ignore list.
For example, you can see here the Canister containing Wreckage Components:

However, the problem here is that I expected to see a Canister containing a Thargoid Probe.
Note: Thargoid Probe is not in my ignore list.
I think that the Thargoid Probe has been destroyed during the extraction or something like that.
Is it an expected behavior?
I don't think so.
 
You need to hatch the cargo bay again. There is a 1 out of 17 chance of the probe being ejected.
Use the manifest scanner to see what is left in the cargo bay
