Call of the wild - A list of pristine metallic rings

Hello fellow miners, just want to point out that the HIP 1933 system isn't Pristine ,its listed in the pristine database though. :(
The system has actually low reserves just been as I am at Ditae

There is an outpost called Kirshner Vision at HIP 1933 2

regards T

The forum can't handle the amount of pics anymore. Too much of it. Try using imgur. That's ok.

Imgur.com is a pretty well established image-sharing site, and you can upload anonymously if you don't want to create account. Just make sure to use "direct link" after the upload.

Btw does anyone know which areas in the bubble are not covered, or poorly covered by the list?
I have the urge to map some more of the bubble & discover more pris-mets after the Iyati CG finishes ;)

Well, you can have a look at the "High-selling list" and see which high-sell systems don't have anything pristine close to them.

But I see the problem. We need a 3D map of the bubble with pris-mets highlighted. I shall look into it.

There's a 3D map of the rare comodities systems out there somewhere (can't remember atm, and it does have some errors) but yes, a way to highlight a group of systems in a 3D map would be very useful. I thought there was a group by quadrant option on the list search tool but I don't see it now. I was going to count up the PM systems by quadrant from Sol and see if there were any that were much lower than the others.

Ok, that's what I was thinking of. I can't put the pristines into that tool though. Maybe add the option under "Pristines" or "List"? "Rares' might benefit from it too.

You'll have to explain again what you're trying to achieve. There is a "hidden" tool to get distances to a free-form list: http://edtools.ddns.net/list.php

I mean that the 'Sphere' tool, that has the sort by quadrant option, has no option to show only the pristines. While the "List" tool can be given a list of all the pristines, it doesn't have the sort by quadrant feature.
I was thinking that comparing the number of pristines per quadrant sentered on Sol would give an idea of which direction has the fewest known systems. Assuming it should be even once you get far away enough.

I see what you mean. You can kind of see this with "Directional Icons" enabled in PrisMet tool, although there's no sorting by quadrant: http://edtools.ddns.net/?s=Sol&ico=on

Hey guys, since no one is reacting on the PMs anymore it is time to close the competition. I will change the front page and publish a news feed for GalNet. If still someone answers, we can give them their money later.

No probs :).
.
I thought I'd found a new pris-met today, for the 1st time in ages.
But HIP 22224 turns out to be in the list, what isn't in the list about it though is a skull & cross bones warning about entering this system!
When I entered it earlier it dumped me right into a tight little gap between a pair of binaries!, & my Python quickly started roasting!
Even though I shut off shields as I was powering out of there, temps still peaked at 140%! No major damage was done (except to my pants perhaps ;)), but you should definitely have a warning about this system.

Updated accordingly, thanks!
