Call of the wild - A list of pristine metallic rings

Cool, thanks :).
.
Btw I went back there later, was fine this time, probably because I came from a different system & therefore angle?

Cool :)
.
I've still not found any undiscovered pris-mets lately, & now the Engineers beta is out it might be some while before I do again ;).
.
Btw, does anyone know if contributions to the CG in beta count to towards the 'real' CG?

I've just realised, with the extremely high price low temp diamonds are commanding (58k/t! Gal av.), plus other resources that can now be mined in icy rings, we should be looking for those too!
Thinking about the pris-mets found so far, a lot of them had ice rings in them, but their will be some systems with just ice or ice/rock.

I was thinking about this when I first read about the diamonds, and I think it will just have to be added 1 system at a time. A big effort to find a lot of systems might be premature. Are the other resources in ice rings worth anything?

Low temp diamonds are found in icy rings, as per your quote of my post ;), as well as methane clathrates (which although I have seen the prices, I can't remember & didn't take note what they were  ).

Congrats!
.
Btw, re ice mining, this thread is interesting

Judging by the drop percentages, and the high value of diamonds, I'm guessing they are very rare, and that most of the other commodities from icy rings aren't worth much. From his post it also sounded like prospector limpets and mining in general works a bit different now?

Err, didn't notice anything said about the drones being different, where's that?
.
Re other icy drops, whilst I don't recall the exact figure for clathrates, IIRC it was in the region of 10-15k/t, so quite valuable :)

Didn't they say drones report low/medium/high mineral level now? Is that in addition to %?
Oh, 10k/T for clathrates is much more than I expected. I wonder if all types of rings will eventually have valuable things to mine? (Looking at you, rocky rings!)

Ah yes yes, your right, the prospectors give you the mineral levels too :).
.
I'm going to see if I can get prices for the icy materials tonight, at least the galactic average.
[update]
Scratch what I said about Clathrates price earlier!! I was way off by a factor of ~20! lol
.
Gal av prices, cr/t for :-
.
Water ........................................ 119
Liquid Oxygen ............................. 264
Methane Clathrate ....................... 628
Hydrogen Peroxide ...................... 916
Methanol monohydrate crystals ... 2282
Lithium hydroxide ...................... 5646
Bromellite ................................. 7062
Low temp Diamonds ................ 57,446!
.
Out ice mining now, added the meth crystals..... hmm, lol

How many tons you get I guess, not sure atm.
Just found some Bromellite, not a bad price for that :), but I only got 2.5t from that asteroid...... can't remember %
Ok, this next asteroid, H perox only, 25%, content low = ~4.5t collected
Damn it, I forgot about A rated prospector's getting better yields! I've bought a D rated one :(
......... I swear these new collectors are much slower!
Yea, looking from the camera I can see they are very slow back to the ship AND take a long route back! :(, their only D rated collectors too but they were never that slow before. Next time I'm mining I think I'll take a video of it & report it as a bug.

Exactly what I discovered. Do you think A rated will be faster? I'll go try.
The release of the drones is also annoying. You can only release them one at a time, instead of all modules at the same time.

I checked the update list and found nothing about speed or route modifications for the limpets. I think we should report it as a bug.

I don't know about A grade being faster, possibly not, but I plan to find out.
But yea I'm going to bug report this, but if you do it 1st LMK & I'll post my video to your thread, no need to have 2 threads about it.
.
As for only releasing 1 at a time, I tended to do that anyway, to space out the death of drones (to avoid false alarms about drone suiciding), so I wasn't worried about, but yea you do lose a little bit of time.
Off to ice mine!......

I found out that the materials are sulfur and phosphor and so on. The limpets need to scoop them up too. That's why they are so slow. They do double the work. Btw, there is already a thread.

It's not just that they have more work, their return speed is much slower, watch them from the ext camera.
Oh & yea I saw they're collecting materials, cool that we can get them off planet :).
.
Could of linked it :p ;)
