Ships Called my Asp Moon Moon...

.... because I forgot how to fly.

I've had a Cobra Mk3 since forever, but wanted something just a bit bigger so that when I go out exploring next time, I've got a better jump range.

I chose the Asp because it looked as though it could handle itself in a fight if necessary, and I've kitted it out with gimballed multi-cannons and gimballed pulse lasers.

Unfortunately, every time I get interdicted now, or stop in a USS, I get completely pulverised. I've hit the rebuy screen once already, and only just escaped a couple more times. I can't even seem to turn around quickly enough to get a shot off!

Is there any particular build that would stop me getting my      handed to me so often?
 
Try a couple of small pulse turrets in the bottom location and armour up along with powerful shields but it's just not that agile even with 5A thrusters and with wings of small fighters it's best to leave ;), the Asp scout although it's not that fast it's very agile and has decent range perhaps it might work better.
