Hello again. So I am trying the challenge mode to unlock the skins and was wondering if anyone has a guide for it as I am losing money hand over fist. I clone the struthiomimus, I send out teams to gather fossils, know about the animal safety and needs, and have the viewer with clear line of sight for the animals, but no matter what amenities I use they cost more in operations than I get from them and the $50,000 per fossil prepping is costing me more than what I get from any of the materials I can sell ($10,000 to $40,000 per item only helps offset the cost of prep and doesn't make any profit for me). On top of that my scientists need to rest but the cost of researching the building for them and then having them rest means I again can't make any headway. So is there a step-by-step guide to completing these? I'm only trying hard mode to get the skins and plan on playing it on easy afterwards just to get the animals for sandbox mode. Note I already 5 stared JP Chaos mode and completed all but the return to Jurassic Park Jurassic level difficulty in the previous game so I have a good idea how the game works, but can't seem to get any headway here. Also the contract system seems bugged in my version causing the game to freeze along with those annoying pop-up problems that force me to spend money when I try to make headway. Thanks for any help and suggestions.

Don't bother with amneties until you are at least 2 star. Don't bother with the food one until you have 2nd tier amneties researched--donut shop always bleeds money.
Thank you. Any other suggestions you have would be very helpful.

Okay so trying again with this and I again keep losing money from the get-go and completed the DNA sequence of the struthiomimus, added long life, put in the observation position, and released a bunch of them and still I am bleeding money while it takes forever to get a dig done and the cost of the dig plus the fossil processing means that I am in the hole 110,000 when I get one $40,000 item to sell. What am I doing wrong because I am tired of waiting around for things to get done while I lose all my savings and can't get any progression. The trick of save-scumming from the first game with contracts doesn't work here and the pop-ups are annoying not a challenge that is fun to overcome. So is this a bug, or am I seriously doing something wrong?

For research -- I get power plant first (saves money), staff room (hire more staff), wide paths (stops overcrowding which impacts amneties) and then amneties 2 (makes more money--I never build medicum amneties, I find small do just as good. But the extra types earn more money)

Whil researching, I set up a handful of enclosures with safe dinosaurs -- Amargasaurus and a joint Nasuto/Struthio. Put the enclosures opposite each other, one either side of the path with the viewing towers directly opposire, leaving a space for future shops. Put restrooms and shelter along the same path (not next to the viewing platform--coverage of these effects guest count)

Finally, put a hotel next to one of the viewing towers so it can see the dinosaurs. That should maintain a steady number of guests and have you close to two stars. Then you can start puting amneties next to the attractions---the combo of two viewing platforms + hotel means shops placed there will rake in the cash.

Thank you for the help again. I will start over again with your advice. I figure more people than just myself are struggling trying to get this to work so I thank you very much. Have you completed the challenge mode on hard difficulty yourself? I will try again tomorrow and see how far I get.
