can anyone try making a burrow

Hi can anyone see if they can make a simulated burrow with terrain tools like one with the hay bedding you can place and see if animals use it.

you could dig a thin ditch place custom animal housing down or path then fill over it with the terain tool again to cover it or if not possible just try have a go at it. Tweek it how ever possible to make it like one or just doo a normal tunneil with bedding if can and reply back with a pic if can thanks all.

I use natural burrows all the time. Here's a couple from my grizzlies, wolves, and snow leopards.

In retrospect, I don't know why I use them more often for snow animals.

Nice yea i watched a video of something like witch showed me you can do it witch is nice though Ime more on about the smaller normal size burrows.

ile try a small hole with a bit of hay bedding a small bit of path ile fill over top then deleat the path then thin the entrence out a bir to simulate a small burrow.

Oh, I see. Yeah, I don't have any currently in a zoo, but I have done it in the past. It works great! I like it way more than constructed habs.

Alright, you made me curious, so I experimented to see how small I could make the opening and having the animal still use it. I didn't go super deep, as the camera was giving me fits. But once you've started it, it's just a matter of going on. If I was patient, it could have gone on for a long distance.

It works for my tortoise here. With a little finesse, I probably could have gone a LITTLE smaller, but not much. I will say that the "Traversable Area" Habitat Overlay was a blessing here, showing me exactly where he could and could not walk. Going deeper would have been fine, but it won't get much narrower for the tortoise. Maybe a smaller animal would go even narrower, but I didn't have easy access to anything that would work. So here's my tortoise burrow! Enjoy.

(Note: I forgot to screenshot it, but this burrow completely satisfied his Shelter needs! So it's mathematically functional, too!

Thats rather good i like it i might Fidel with the tunnel on the inside though it is still good the entrance is good and the sleeping area to. Its all good now i know its possible so now any creature i know use a burrow/Den i can make this thanks.
