Ok, and at what point do you get sent to prison and how do you get out?
In this case, you will respawn in a detention center and have to pay off the bounty as well as your rebuy.
Probably best to wait until it's actually launched.
Until then, no-one, knows how it''s going to work.

Unfortunately there are parts of the game, such as efficient Background Galaxy Simulation manipulation, perhaps for a Player Minor Faction, that often require committing some sort of crime. Sure, you can choose not to, but that's then either locking yourself out of part of the game, or at least restricting the actions you can take to achieve desired goals. If you cant do the time -------> dont do the crime
Help me out here....what's IF stand for? Intergalactic.....ffffffffffffffbroker.

The point still stands, you should only do illegal actions if you are willing to put up with the consequences (of which there will now be numerous ways to mitigate.) That is part of the challenge. Quick and difficult or slow and easy.. Those are the options.
Who said manipulating an entire system with a population of billions should be inherently easy and efficient?
If you want an easy system to manipulate, go to some podunk outer-rim anarchy system with a 14k pop.
I think the main problem and source of salt is that IMO the punishment for the really low end stuff is at present OTT. It'll be a QoL issue that could drive people out of the game![]()

Ummm... Let's correct that, at least as regards Notoriety?
If you cant leave your PC on with you docked at a station overnight -------> dont do the crime
BGS isn't really there to be manipulated to begin with. That's why lot of C&P changes are against it.
