Can someone please explain planetary missions search and scan datapoint. Please

Because I cant make any sense of it. I have 5 different planet missions from Pilots federation. They are all in different systems.
I go to the first one and scan the data Point I then get completion mission message of all the five planet missions I had even though I only travelled to the first one.

Is this intended? Should I not go to the other places that were required when I took the mission instead of all of them completing on the first location?

Thanks

Not sure I'd call it intended as such, but it's the way it has been since these first appeared I think.
Similar gig with the sightseeing missions, where one visitor beacon can fulfill the role of any others you're supposed to go to.
A bit wrong, but it saves time and swells the coffers so hey ho.

Someone cut corners when coding these missions. Other missions have specific targets/locations and can't completed in other location so we know its not impossible for frontier to do that.

Yep, that's what they do. It will get fixed later than sooner, and that's fine with me. I'll keep doing them they way they are and miss it when they're changed.

I'm at the outpost where I'm supposed to scan the datapoint. I have the datapoint selected in my SRV, try to activate the datalink scanner but nothing happens. Is this buggy or what am I missing?
