Can this laptop run it?

Hi guys.

So I was just wondering... Would my laptop specs be able to run PZ?

Note that I'm not too good in computers, so please answer in a way non-computer familiar people would understand.

Thank you.

1. buy a new/good one.
2. yes.

Just buy something that matches the minimum requirements set out by Frontier.
And I would recommend a desktop instead of a laptop. Laptops generally underperform pc's with the same specs and are usually overpriced.

This Acer is also a laptop from 2015. I would suggest buying something that is more recent (2018/19)
And this one does not have a dedicated graphics card (Nvidia / AMD)

Personally I would'nt upgrade such a laptop..
You could, but I think it's a better investment to put your money in a new laptop.

Maybe some laptop users could share their specs and ingame screenshot..
That would give you some sense of direction when you are looking for a laptop.
Especially since you already notified us that you are not too good in computers.. :D

Personally I think a desktop is the better option but all depends on your personal situation/preferences..

While the minimum requirements are a bit technical and hard to read for non-tech savvy people, I'm going to link them here anyway as that's what a computer needs to have as a minimum for being able to run Planet Zoo: minimum requirements for Planet Zoo.

You can compare the system specifications of a computer with the list provided in that document to see if it meets or exceeds the minimum required or not.

Good luck!

Please feel free to ask any more questions if you have any. :)

Thanks for the simple and helpful responses.

Yes, I know my laptop's kinda old, and I don't think I can buy a decent gaming laptop any time soon...I'm a highschool student in his final years, I've got more important things to do than getting a gaming laptop. Plus, those things are damn expensive... Desktops won't help me in college, especially if you're planning to go somewhere far from home (NOT a spiderman movie reference).

Guess I'll stick to Youtube videos for PZ satisfaction...

Good luck with your high school education!!! (y)

Thank you for your interest in Planet Zoo. We've only just begun this amazing adventure and I hope that you will be able to join in playing the game in the future! :)

No thanks. Always nice to help.

I thought you where buying this laptop, which I found odd as it is 4 years old, but now I understand better. (y)

To be honest, do you really need a new laptop for school, or is this one still good enough to work with?
Because if it does, you don't necessarely need a laptop.

My advice is really to go for a desktop, you can build a very good one for way less than a laptop costs, but you can't carry it around with you.
But this decision lies with you.

Good luck!

Hey buddy.

I'm not 100% familiar on how it'll eventually work but there's something called Google Stadia coming out soon.

It's basically rent super computer that let's you stream games to any device capable of streaming. All you'll need is a good Internet connection.

I'm unsure on whether itll only feature games they chose to feature or you can for example pay the monthly fee and install any game from your own steam account or anything but if you're not in a financial position to be able to splash out on new hardware this may end up being just the thing for you.

Go read up on it and keep an eye on it. It actually sounds pretty decent if they pull it off!

Looks like something similar I have with Nvidia Geforce Now (Nvidia Shield TV)
But those are only games that can be played with a controller and you can't play games that aren't available.

I can play games from my desktop to my tv screen though, but you still need a very decent graphics card.
