Can't complete 'collect cargo' PP2 assignment

Hate to make Yet Another "Can't Complete PP2 Assignment" Thread, but oh well...

I got this assignment:

I have made these "salvage cargo" assignments before, so I know the drill. Although in the previous ones it was always within the same system, not from one system to another.

Anyway, I went to LFT 926 and collected black boxes and wreckage components from power signals, went back to Bunda and handed them in to the power contact as usual and... nothing. No progress on the task. I did have some black boxes and wreckage components from other systems which I handed over at the same time, so I thought that maybe there's a bug in the game where if you do that, it doesn't count any of them? So I went to LFT 926 again, this time with an empty cargo hold, collected black boxes and wreckage components from power signals, went back ot Bunda and handed them to the power contact and... still nothing. No progress.

I'm at a loss here. Am I missing something, or is this Yet Another Bug? Is anybody else experiencing this?

Did you get merits when handing in to the Power Contact in Bunda?

(If so, it's just the task which is bugged - possibly still tied to the pre-release way in which undermining salvage was planned to work. If not, something stranger is happening)

Check if LFT926 is outside of Bunda's influence range (galaxy map, powerplay view, select Bunda, button is at the bottom of the information window)

Has this been resolved? I got the same issue.
  • Picked up salvage cargo (wreckage components + black boxes from Power Wreckage Signatures) in Leesti.
  • Jumped to Gadagombiri and turned them in at Power Contact.
  • Progress is not tracked. I have tried twice.

Strange indeed. I had a PP2 assignment this cycle for ALD to do this same assignment, in a different system than OP of course. It worked fine for me. I have never had this assignment fail in the past either, and have had it several times since PP2 dropped.

Gave it another shot after reading your answer: still doesn't work. I tried 3 different Power Contacts (both outposts in Gadagombiri and one settlement), all to no avail.
