Explains why no-one is fixing the servers
i had network error at about 7pm gmt. its nearly 10 pm gmt and im getting long looooooooooooong pauses before 'unable to connect to adjudication server. seems the judge is on vacation. or maybe amazon is redirecting the server capacity to its own website because christmas is coming and people need to buy christmas themed cat food online. one of those.
EDIT: forgot to mention ms just did YET ANOTHER win 10 update. this time to .NET frameworks to address an issue where malicious code could be executed by correcting how it validates input. not sure that could be doing it.

That's what he wants you to believe! truth is the servers went from the new gfx after someone tipped 5 gallons of dulux in the server thinking it was a good idea... oh wait that was just the update

4 weeks of beta testing wasn't enough.
Can't be bothered any more. I'll come back and try again tomorrow evening, but to be honest I'm not expecting anything then either.
It would seem that if you can play during UK office hours you're OK.
The most disappointing thing for me is that no-one from FDev is even making a comment about this. No announcements, no timescales, just a vague acknowledgement that there's a problem and that it's down to "too many players".
Well, this kind of thing is a good way to cut down on that volume...

What is it we should feel disappointment about?
That Elite can't get it's... doo doo together so we can play?
That Amazon and their doo-doo-y servers are doo-doo?
That Elite won't even make a statement about the subject?
That there is no consistency to be seen on the Horizons?
This whole thing is bringing the nature of the human condition into an introspective nightmare for me.

I still havent played this since trying to play it when it first came out (bought game+expansionpass) because i loved Elite.
However i could not get to grips with the game and decided to put it on hold.
Now that the thargoids have entered (YAY) and a code was sent for subscribing, i am trying to find out how to open the console that allows me to enter the code BUT all i am receiving right now is this cannot connect to adjudication server message.
Dang it all. anyone have info
To redeem your code:
• Load up the game
• Make sure your ship is docked at station services
• Open up Livery
• Click on ‘Buy Game Extras’
• Click on ‘Redeem Frontier Code’
• Input code and submit
