If you buy the pre-order now (at a cheaper price) from my understanding that will give you beta access as well. So I'd say if you want beta then go to the website and buy the pre-order. Then you will get to play the beta and the full game on release and you get a steam key when beta is released.

Anyone who has already purchased a pre-order of Planet Coaster will be given ALL the extras of the Thrillseeker Edition including Beta access, as a thank you for your continued support and feedback during the development of Planet Coaster. So with the current lower price of pre-order until the 25 August it’s the perfect time to pre-order or join the other Early Birds in Alpha now.

You'll be able to buy the Thrillseeker Edition from Steam on 25th August (which will grant you access to the Beta phase ahead of the November 17th launch).

In saying that, as others have mentioned above you would be wise to consider buying the standard pre-order from Frontier's own store ahead of the 25th. Not only is it cheaper than the upcoming Thrillseeker Edition but standard pre-orders prior to 25th August on Frontier's own store will actually receive the Thrillseeker Edition as a bonus for supporting the game early.

well thats a good deal. I was hoping to use steam money because i dont like making accounts everywhere but €27 for planet coaster with the beta isnt much money

but i kinda maybe want it now so im still not 100% sure if im gonna get the alpha

hopefully we will get the beta soon then if i wait but idk how long
