I have 1 hour to play this evening and I'm constantly getting a message saying "we were unable to get your latest saved data" has anyone else experienced this...

Did you set up a Frontier Account?
The hour starts when you begin to play/go through the tutorials.

Not that an hour will barely scrape the surface of this game. But have fun anyway.
