This is Nicolas Saissore, captain of the NI-14D Hawkeye. A Dolphin class ship fitted with 1 luxury cabin and the best equipment you can get for long range exploration trips. My first client is the famous explorer Kenzie Hebert of the Sitakapan Expeditionary Forces who offered a large sum for collecting data on some nebula at the upper edge of the galaxy 6000ly from the bubble. It is so far out I'm not sure my 41 ly jump range is enough to reach it but no need to wake a sleeping horse. I will see how it goes when we are there. Perhaps this SRV will come in handy. The whole jurney has to be completed in 27 days so we need to travel about 450 ly per day. Enough time to collect data along the way.
I think she is hiding something because she wants to keep a low profile but I don't ask questions as long as my clients behave. And if not I have got my ways to deal with it. Our first major destination will be the pen nebula for some nice views.
A few jumps out we found some water world but universal catographics shows it was already charted by another ship. Perhaps we are more lucky next time.
9 Jumps before the pen nebula we found an unlucky soul in an escape pod and scooped it up. Livesigns are stable and we were debating over opening the pod. I could convince Kenzie it is better to leave the pod alone. Don't want to loose my ship because of some maniac like on this generation ship I heard of.
We are now 500 ly out of inhabited space and find a lot of uncharted systems. It is getting more interesting and our stops get longer.
- End of record
